  1. Good Afternoon All, Thank you all for your suggestions, I arrived on Friday and we Registered our relationship in NSW, I have opened up a phone account registered to my partners address, have accumulated some joint purchases over the course of this weekend and I have evidence of previous correspondence from our long distance relationship. In addition I am going to be placed as a second person on his medicare account Hopefully all of these things will assist the application! I want to launch the application in approximately 3 months to accumulate more financial proof of our relationship, is this advisable or should I start the application earlier? Thank you so much, R
  2. Hi all, I'm looking for help as I am about to start the process of application for the Defacto Visa. I have a WHV and I am due to travel to Australia in April. I have been with my partner for nearly 5 years and he is an Australian Citizen (I am British). Out of the 5 years we have been together 3 years has been long distance. Therefore generation of evidence for financial solidarity is difficult, and is likely to be the weak point when we launch our application. I was hoping that my moving over for some time on the WHV, we will be able to generate some additional financial evidence to aid our application. The migration agent I contacted said that I will need at least 12 months evidence of shared bills, rent etc. Which is obviously the length of the visa I have obtained and so I am concerned. I didn't move over earlier as I am in the process of getting my qualifications converted so they are recognised by Australian Health Authorities ( I am a healthcare professional) and my partner is completing his postgraduate qualification, therefore he has been unable to move to the U.K. I would very much appreciate advise from anyone who has been in a similar situation and inform me on the outcome of their application. Thank you so much! R
