Mine was sent via email

Finally I have received an email today with the test date of 18th Jan, applied on 7th May from Sydney
-
I applied in May 2017 and still no news, no emai test. Unfair at all
Same here, applied on 8th May from Sydney but not heard so far. -

Shouldn't be a problem (assuming the work assignment is temporary as opposed to a permanent intention to leave Australia) the rules on the residency requirement are only for it to be met on the day of application. You will of course need to keep IMMI informed of how to contact you and need to return for test and ceremony.
Many thanks Ken, i will surely keep DIBP know on the changes.

Hi Mate, as far as I know you need to be onshore to do the test, approval, ceremony etc. This is why most people hold off from traveling or relocating until they get their citizenship. However I would advise you speak to Dibp and ask them how you can do it while offshore Or maybe an immigration lawyer for more accurate assessment.
Many thanks mate, i did call DIBP and they suggested to discuss this with the assigned case officer. Since its a internal temp move, the company will provide a letter to support the same, fingers crossed this should be good enough. Regards

Hi,
I have recently moved overseas on a work assignment for couple of years under the same company. Does anyone into similar situation and if this will impact the decision on my citizenship application which was applied onshore on 9th May 2017?
Thanks

Hi,
My family and I have applied for the citizenship on 8th May pending update. I have to move to another country for temporary work assignment shortly and wonder if that has any implication on the citizenship application?
Thanks

Many thanks aussiepr, yeah I was bit frustrated as it is unusual to wait that long after the nomination approval and when I see the visa grant it is the same CO which previously approved my nomination
-
It seams like you MA's following up reminder your co? Otherwise you will keeping on waiting. Can I understand as this?
It's so difficult to know what happened, perhaps it was the reminder from MA that triggered the outcome but I guess we will never know.

Nom & visa on 20th Aug, Nom approval on 25th Feb and no doc request so far

We just have to wait as we don't necessarily understand how DIBP works, it's just a matter of time till everyone gets their 186. Meantime let's stay positive and hope for an positive outcome soon.
Nom & visa on 20th Aug, Nom approval on 25th Feb and no doc request so far

have you been allocated a co yet? beyond a joke now
I don't know to be honest but I have asked my MA to follow up with DIBP
-
hi everyone how do i find out who my co is? my status is still application received, but when i rang yesterday they told me i was allocated a co...
We have similar timelines, I don't think we can know who the case officer is unless he/she contacts you or you know from the visa grant letter.
-
I heard nothing from them. Well i guess each team receives bunch of applications sort by date. So they had our file long ago. Say, CO of my nom application put on hold for some reason so the other CO cant do anything of my visa app.
Well its just my assumption. Im not sure about that. The reason im assuming that is, u know sometimes randomly immi diggs deep inside of an application so they run some background checks which consumes a lot of time. I dont believe CO will skip one of september file then start picking up octobers.
Please note im not 100% sure what i said there

Perhaps you are right as my visa application is still pending considering it was lodged in August, I have asked my MA to follow up with DIBP lets see what response he gets

PR GRANTED at 16:230 hours. Today
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Long wait is over.

So the CO may accept it because even it say expire but I have never been out of Australia since.
Yes I think he should, all the best
-
It expired 3 month ago. It valid on 3 month from where m from. So crazy
I think international police clearance is considered valid for one year by DIBP even though the certificate may state expiry of 3 or 6 months. This is what I was told by my MA
