It’s finally happened at last, we had a call from our agent in the UK tonight, we’ve been asked to pay second VAC! As we’re already in Australia on 600 Visa we have seven days to produce itinerary to depart Australia, for minimum of three working days following our departure,  28 days to do it in. So it’s offf to the bank tomorrow and a visit to Fight Centre to book a week in Auckland!

    Geoff & Gill

Congratulations to you both. It’s a great feeling when it happens.

Thank you, we feel for all you people that have not even been contacted yet.

Dont know what immigration are doing. Maybe they are going to change the way they do it.

The queue does seem to be moving faster than the stated times - this is from another forum on pomsinoz from “Garvey”

Lodged 143 visa 30th June 2015, police checks and medicals requested and supplied April/May 2018. AoS confirmation and bond paid August 2018. Waiting to hear about final payment and visa date. All correspondence sent via our immigration lawyers.

That is fantastic news so great to see there is some kind of movement. It gives the rest of us an idea that we looking at maybe 3.5 years worse case scenario. Personally counting on 3 years and 3 months as I am on 173 I won't have the hassle of the horrendous AOS delay.

    Hi Peter2

I’ve updated my timeline if you would like to add me to your spreadsheet.

    Hi Peter2

Thankyou for adding my timeline to your spreadsheet.

I see our AOS from start to finish was the second longest so far at 6.07 months.

l hope they don’t take as long to grant our visas

    Hi guys,

I don't see any official tracking page somewhere, so I've made this spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qdUJtvi43-4Ma76iDQWtT3Dv2KK4HxA1lvQzeAB2MOE

I've included your username there. If you don't want to be included somehow, please let me know.

Please feel free to edit or make suggestion. I'll try to populate more data later.

Mod, if this is not allowed, please remove this post.

    Cheers

    Hi Peter2

We have had our Letter of Acceptance, dated 20th received today 23rd April from Centrelink. Now we wait!!!

    Geoff & Gill

    That’s great news for you.

Can I ask you did it all just happen or did you have to chase them up in anyway.

Any advice on how to chase it up would be helpful, as our son applied for AOS 15 days before your daughters date and he has not heard anything yet.

Hope things continue to progress for you.

Just heard from our daughter who is on holiday in Queensland, that she has had her Centrelink phone call interview. 6 weeks roughly from AoS application, not bad going!

    Geoff & Gill

Well done that’s good going! Our son still waiting for phone call, he lodged the AOS form at Centrelink on 6th Feb.

We heard from our agent last night to submit Police check, medicals, form 80 and AoS!  It was stressed to us that we do not as yet have a case officer but to get the ball rolling, especially the AoS........ We queried whether we needed the Australian Police check, as we hadn’t fulfilled previous 12 months in 10 years prior to lodgement, but was advised it’s a bit of a grey area, and as we are now in Oz on 600 Visa, it would be advisable to get one.

    Geoff & Gill

Good news we also heard from the parent visa centre yesterday asking us to submit Police checks, medicals, form 80 and AOS.
