  1. No changes in the status. Still application received so I was hoping that it gets straight to finalised
  2. Hi, I was wondering how long does it usually take for visa to be granted after nomination approval? My timeline is: 18 December 2016 - Nomination lodged 15 January 2016 - Visa application lodged 25 February 2016 - Nomination approved I am starting to get anxious cause I am on a 573 student visa and next term start at March 21. Currently working part time for the employer who sponsored me and they are just waiting for my visa approval so that I can work full time for them.
  3. No news regarding my visa yet. Visa is at 7 weeks from the time of application.
  4. Let's hope from some good news this week or the next
  5. It was just a declaration form my employer and I have to sign that I did not pay for my sponsorship.
  6. philippines and im a registered nurse but im applying onshore
  7. My timeline is: 18 Dec 2015 - Nomination Lodged 15 Jan 2016 - Visa application Lodged Asked for more info 15 Feb 2016 25 Feb 2016 - Nomination approved Still waiting for visa application decision
  8. My nomination got approved today. How long before the 457 visa get approved after that?
  9. Hi all, How long does it usually take for nominations to be approved after DIBP requested for more info from employer? Thanks
  10. Looks like my nomination is currently being looked at by immi. My MA contacted me today asking me and my employer to sign a declaration. Seems like immi has increasing concerns about employees paying to get sponsorship. Btw, mine was lodged last December.
  11. Goodluck to you as well. My term ends this February and the next one is mid of March as well. That is why I'm really pressuring my MA to follow up with Immi. The hard part is my agent is based in NZ so 3 hour time difference here in Australia.
  12. I can't really give an estimate with the time cause it is different with everybody. My employer just sponsored at least 10 applicants last year and was approved in 2 month's time. My MA is now asking immi for priority processing cause my employer is really short of staff and me working part time has been quite complicated for them. They're wanting me to work full time already. My MA keeps telling me that both the nomination and my visa application are still "Application Received".
  13. Nothing as yet. My nomination is at 7 weeks, then visa is on its 2nd week.
  14. It's a Registered nurse position. I'm originally from the Philippines then I came here on a student visa and then got sponsorship from a hospital here in Victoria.
  15. Thanks for that! My MA told me that it the nomination should be looked at soon since it has been 6 weeks. Did you apply onshore or offshore? I guess it really doesn't matter now. What profession did you get sponsored for?
  16. Yes. But it won't come into effect because I hold a substantive visa which is 573 visa. Technically my student visa is still in effect. My MA told me that my nomination should be looked up soon as it is already 6 weeks. It's just a bit of a time hassle since I'm still studying to stay here in Oz.
  17. Thanks. It's because I've applied onshore and I'm on a student visa. My term is ending soon and I didn't want to enrol for a new term just to keep my student visa valid. Some of my friends got their visa approved by 2-3 days onshore application and their nomination 2 weeks.
  18. Hi, has anyone lodged the nomination during the 3rd week of December. My hospital has their own MA and until now they have not heard from the department. They said it's still showing application received. It's the 6th week of nomination lodgement already. Starting to get worried. I just lodged my 457 working visa last week.
