  1. I would definitely get your Australian citizenship, otherwise if you want to return in the future, you may have a problem. Having a British and Australian passport makes everything much easier. You can get your National Insurance Number from Works & Pensions Department in Wales, they are helpful if you ring. Don't rely on the state pension here (when you need to) it is low compared to Australia. London is a great place to visit and work. Living there is very expensive, so you would need a good salary. I am heading back to Australia this year after a short return to the UK, as realise I am more Australian than British now, even though I was born in London. However, its all different for me now and I am just glad that I have the option to return "home". Good Luck with everything.
  2. I totally agree with Tee4too. I returned to the UK last year after 35 years in Australia after a divorce and would really recommend that you sit tight for a while and maybe write a list of "pros and cons". I have found that while family are very pleased to see you at first, after a while it all wears off. I didn't consider how I would feel about leaving all my friends in Australia, and making friends here when you are older is not easy. I also miss the warmer climate, although Spring in the UK is very beautiful and so are the long days. However, I have written my pros and cons list and have decided to return to Australia this year. It has been an expensive venture, but the time I have spent with family here has been worth it. Good luck in whatever you decide.
  3. I've used Jetpets on several occasions both interstate in Australia and overseas. They have always been good. Having said that, I am bringing my dog back into Australia from the UK with Petair UK and they use Dogtaineers to transport him from the quarantine centre to Brisbane.
