Congrats!
Did you submit form 80? Did you dependents submit form 80? Was nomination approved the same day?
-
Has anyone not submitted their form 80?

Should the employer's nomination reference number and my application TRN number be the same or different?

Thanks very much for replying so quickly

My partner and I are about to start the process of applying for the 189 visa. I was wondering if we should submit an EOI to skillselect first or get my qualifications assessed first? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Tim,
I prefer a 190 visa; There are no conditions associated with a subclass 190 visa.
What conditions are associated with the 186?
Does it matter that I have only worked for my employer for 6 months? Is it still possible for them to nominate me?
Thanks in advance

I have been teaching in Qld for 6 months. My employer sponsored me on a 457. I am hoping to apply for my PR asap. I was wondering which visa would be the best to apply for: 186 ENS OR 190 Visa?
My employer is happy to nominate me.
Any advice would be great

Dear all, I have been in oz from January on the 457 visa. my employer has agreed to nominate me for PR... Am I eligible for this considering I have only been here since Jan? Any advice would be great

I too had a migration officer. However I also kept a track on it using the immi account. No mine was at application received for the whole time and then finalised. I really wish you all the best and hope you don't wait too long!
Good luck with it all

I think my sponsors have already sponsored before.. not sure if that makes a difference. The school was very surprised that it took this long. I'm just glad it came.

Got my visa today..... can't believe it. Visa was lodged on 30th November. Will arrive on the Gold Coast on Wednesday to see family, then drive up to Yeppoon/Rockhampton. Hope everyone else has good news this week xx
-
I still have no news about my visa.... the visa was lodged end of November. My job starts next Monday. I keep having to remind myself that it has only been 6 weeks... although every morning I wake up hoping that my visa will arrive. Fingers crossed that we all hear good news this week

Has anybody heard anything yet?? It is totally doing my head in! Meant to be starting my job on the 18th.... fingers crossed for us all

My wife is also included in my application. The company that is sponsoring me has sponsored several 457 candidates before.
Yes, same although my partner and I are not married. I'm from a low risk country but I don't think that really matters. I'm really hoping I get it this week. Due to start work on the 18th Jan

Hello all,
My application was lodged on November 5 and medical examinations were accepted on November 10th. We actually had the Chest X-Rays while visiting Sydney for 1 week. Nothing has changed since then, the status is still "Application Received" and they have not requested any additional documents.
I am starting to get nervous, as I was planning to travel on January 14th.
Has more people been getting delays when lodged in early November?
Thanksk,
Hi, I am late November and mine is still application received. Are you going on your own or have you anyone included on your visa?
-
That's brilliant news Canada... I'm hoping I will receive some good news soon myself!!! Congrats
-
Out of curiosity, after "application received", what is the next statement that one would see on their application status on their Immuaccount? Something like "application under review" or something like that?
What does yours say Canada?
-
Thanks dv4. My status is still on application received, since over 3 weeks - drives me nuts.
Canada2Australia and TimTam - any updates on your side?
Emailed my MO and she said it was still being processed:( Hopefully soon

Hi all,
I have been offered a permanent teaching job in QLD. The school is sponsoring me using the 457 visa, which is also including my partner. I don't really know much else about my application because it is being dealt with by a migration officer that the school is paying for. All I know is that it was lodged on Monday 30th November. I am meant to be starting work on Monday 18th January!!! Fingers crossed that I get the visa soon so I can book flights. I have heard I can check the progress online but I don't have an immi account. And I am assuming it is set up to email the migration officer so I don't want to accidentally make all the communication go to me instead of her.. if that could be possible. I am hoping for a rapid visa grant

Dear Deep,
Yes I submitted Form 80 with the application - so I wasn't asked for anything else as my application was ready and included everything needed
