Approval received via post 24/01/17 (sent 16/01/17)

Citizenship ceremony invite received via email: 28/04/17

Ceremony date: 12/05/17 

Am so pleased to finally be getting my ceremony!

May be they don"t have enough peopel for the ceremony. Try call them and enquire about the next ceremony

The new requirements will apply to all new applications for Australian citizenship.thats what it says in Immi site. 

So those who have applied need not to worry

Immiaccount status wont change until your citizenship ceremony.

But you need to satisfy the 4 years stay in AustrAlia condition. If you been in Australia for more then 4 years then that would fine. Else you need 4 years stay

You need to be in Australia for 365 days. So you can apply only on 366th day 15th April. 

If you been away for few weeks then you need to wait for few more weeks to compensate that Holiday period. 

Attended citizenship test on 22 March 2017, still waiting for approval letter.

Have you travelled with your new passport?? If you travelled your passport details should be updated in Aiport immigration check . Else you need to update the details.

Lodged EOI for NSW 190 with 65 points.

Software engineer with 5years 11 months experience.

Haven't seen any invitations from Jan 17.

i booked in perth @princesammy

called several times to change the appointment date no slots available before May.

looks like PERTH office is really busy.no one is even cancelling their appointment.

I have a question relating applying citizenship. In the application it mentions proof of residential address by providing utilities bills or rent contract. The question is if I rent the place as a sub-tenant and only pay bills to the head tenant. Therefore I don't have any bills in my name and my rent contract is only between me and the main tenant - Not with the landlord. In that case, can I still submit that contract as proof?

 

Does anyone have the same experience?

I think you can get a Stat declaration saying you are renting in that property and get it attested.

Yea, looks like they accepted as they did not ask me any extra documents

I understand birth certificate is one of the required documents for citizenship application, what if you don't have it and its not possible to get it:

 

- Is there any alternative option?

- Has anyone applied without birth certificate? Any complications etc.?

Hi < I have applied with out birth certificate, i have my class 10 marks sheet with all the details in it. i am still waiting for response, i applied on 15th Dec and still waiting for reply;
