I have question. If after launching application for visa 189, an applicant travels abroad(16 days), then is there a requirement to submit any document. If yes, then which one?

@CaptainC. Just wanted to ask what happens if the time for processing goes above 12 months. Coz the dept says that they will answer within 12 months. And it has been over 11 months now. Thanks

I hope so dear. Its already over 10 months now. its the first correspondence from the CO.

I did submit it but I think it only remains valid for six months. thats why I suppose, they have asked for it again

Your understanding is corrector mate. I lodged application in April. There was no contact by any CO. And the status of my application didn't change from 'application received'. I then tried contacting department. And finally someone from department replied on email(reply to a compliant email). They said they are sorry that there application didn't update that my application was under verification since May. Also that no further documentarians are required from my side and it's still under verification. Phew ?

Yes may be Mobari but I cannot make out what can possibly take so long. Its very discouraging to see such a great process delay in the departments activity.

My application status in IMMIACCOUNT was " Application received" since april 2015 (The time i submitted application). Tried calling them, but my calls were disconnected somehow. I finally submitted a feedback form at their official website. They replied and said that they were sorry that they had not updated the status but my verification had been started in May2015 and are still going on. It was very frustrating as i didnt know who to contact. But i did receive their response. keeping my fingers crossed

Thanks CaptainC. I have received a response from the department that they are conducting verification and they do not need any other documents from my side. This is the first response that i have got till now. Also do you know if Pakistan is among the high risk countries??

well i just did a month ago. They just said there is nothing to worry and it is under process. But i believe i have to call them again as you said.

hey guys I had applied on April 2015, the immiaccount shows " Application received" , there has been no CO assigned or any other progress. this is quite frustrating. Does anyone on the forum has the same issue
