  1. Thanks for the info. When you say how does that help me down the line, what do you mean? As in it could effect my chances of permanent residency? Matt
  2. Hi guys It would appear that my only route to working in Australia would be on a state sponsored 489 visa. My brother lives in QLD but unfortunately the only state accepting my occupation at the moment is NT. I wanted to know if I did apply for state sponsorship from NT what are my obligations to stay their? Or putting it another way, what would be the consequences if I moved to a different state? Any help is appreciated. Matt
  3. Hi. I don't suppose u could post a link to the site u got this information from??? Thanks
  4. Hi guys I am a Financial Investment Adviser in the UK and would love the opportunity to live and work in Australia. I am exploring different ways of obtaining a visa, but it is looking like I may need employer sponsorship, which for myself is likely to be a bank. Does anyone have any advice/tips on obtaining employer sponsorship? Some background information about myself, I am 35 years of age, single, no dependants, no criminal record, in good health and my brother is also an Australian citizen. Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide. Matt
  5. Hi guys I am a Financial Investment Adviser in the UK and would love the opportunity to live and work in Australia. My occupation is on the 'Consolidated Skilled Occupation List' for WA and SA. Having completed some research on the Vetassess website regarding the skills assessment requirement for this occupation, it would appear that as well as having the relevant professional qualifications (which I have), I would also need to have a degree (which I do not). I have emailed Vetassess to double check that this is the case. Assuming it is, does anyone have any advice on other routes to gaining a visa??? A bit of background information about myself, I am 35 years of age, single, no dependants, no criminal record, in good health and my brother is an Australian citizen. Your help/advice is much appreciated. Matt
  6. I wasn't aware of that! Thanks for the information. WA not ideal but at least it's an option.
  7. I am a 35 year old financial adviser from the UK wanting to emigrate to Brisbane. Due to my age I am unable to qualify for a work visa and my occupation is not considered a skilled job. As such I am struggling to figure out how I can make the move to oz. Any help with this would be much appreciated. Further background, I am single, no kids and my brother and family live in Brisbane and have citizenship - if any of that helps! Thanks guys
