I have PR visa and i am arriving in Melbourne and then traveling from Melbourne to Perth.I plan to live in Perth but i gave Melbourne address of a friend as a place where i will live after grant of visa. Now at port of entry i have to give address so i want to be truthful so there is no issue as i have booked flight to Perth same day.Which address should i write? Perth? I am talking about that small form you have to fill before you cross port of entry.

I gave my port of entry as Melbourne and a certain address of friend to live with for PR(189) visa but now i have changed my mind since i learnt that for security course one needs to live in Victoria for 1 year. I did live from 2010 to 2014 in Melbourne but spent over a year overseas so that makes ineligible for security license.I am now planning to go to Adelaide or Perth instead where there is no residency requirement? The question is can i now instead of going to Melbourne go to another city instead?

That makes sense now because i "spent" more than 12 months outside.

Permanent Residents - After 1 July 2007 If you obtain your permanent residence after 1 July 2007, you will need to meet the following requirements to become an Australian citizen: You have lived lawfully in Australia for at least 4 years; and(including student visas) You have lived in Australia for at least 12 months as a permanent resident Note that if you have spent more than 12 months in the last 4 years outside Australia or 3 months in the last 12 outside Australia, you will no longer meet the residence requirements for citizenship. Does that mean my student visa will be considered as resident? and i will be eligible for austudy?

I have lived in Australia on student visa from Jan 2010 to May 2014 From May 2014 to present i lived overseas and applied PR visa(189). Now my PR has been granted. I want to know what is residency requirement in case of austudy? http://www.humanservices.gov.au/customer/services/centrelink/austudy For austudy i require 2 year residency so is my 2 year residency requirement met?
