  1. Hi there, Your application will most likely be in the processing centre in the state that your husband's head office resides. That's how it usually works. Not always though. Ask the employer for the TRN. You are entitled to have those details. Do you know if your nomination has been approved yet? Once you have the TRN you can create an immi account and see the status. It won't affect the application you're just viewing it. Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk
  2. 'Processing' and 'Assessment in progress' if memory serves. Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk
  3. Annna please contact the Dept. either by phone or the 457 contact email address. Reiterate that your application is now outside the declared processing timeframes and you want to request an urgent update on the exact status of the application.
  4. See?? You and me kidda, sorted the same week!!!! Huge congratulations!
  5. Haha! Yeah in 2 years when we apply for PR! Thanks mate x
  6. Brisbane certainly seems to have a long wait associated with it at the moment. I believe that legislative changes to 457 visa has made it a more rigorous process. Maybe it's that causing the problem? Parramatta were quick last time round but that was 4 years ago.
  7. Thanks guys. The timelines are 8 weeks 6 days. HOWEVER! I chased this application, and both myself and my MA sent emails of complaint due to it being dragged out. It was hand held through the last few hurdles so not a normal processing at all. This application should have taken a few weeks at most to be honest. It was a second application and low risk. Brisbane appear to have a backlog, and they spoke of tighter checks being implemented resulting in a slowdown for all visa classes.
  8. Only in Melbourne mate. All the other offices will be open.
  9. You're onshore? I wouldn't worry. Looks like there's a lot of applications in at the moment. If you're already in Australia and are covered under another existing or bridging visa, they'll be aware and deal with it accordingly. That's my guess for what it's worth!
  10. We're going to be in The Ponds docksboy. I'm so glad you're loving it! I'm going to be based in North Sydney. What line of work are you in?
  11. Hmmm... looks good for Melbourne based peeps then. I guess the brisvegas crew are doomed to wait! Ho hum... another week [emoji20] Has anyone had a grant from Parramatta lately? I'm heading to Sydney, but got shipped to the Brisbane Centre.
  12. Congrats Pags, I hope this sets a trend! Safe travels [emoji2]
  13. OMG yoghurt!!! That's bloomin brilliant!! Where was your visa processed?
  14. Wonder if anyone will be drawn out of the hat tonight? !
  15. It's definitely the Aussie way! Go with the flow as best you can. I know it's really tough. These delays make it tough. There's a few of us on here that'll lend an ear when you need it. We're all in it together at the moment ?
  16. Not a thing back. I'm working on the 'no news is good news' premise!
  17. Sometimes they do the visa part in parallel to the main application as the information should all be there. Have you submitted a decision ready application? Did you fill in a few forms and sent lots of certified copies of birth certificates etc?
  18. Hi Pags, welcome to the board. Just reading through your post. It sounds like the request to your employer was for the nomination part of the application. There are 3 stages. Sponsorship approval, nomination and then the visa application. If your employer is already an approved sponsor then that's the first hurdle done. Then it's nomination. That's where they nominate you for a position. Do you know if nomination had been approved yet? For my first 457 application it all got processed together. This time I waited until nomination was approved before lodging the final application paperwork. It's been 8 weeks since I lodged the paperwork after Nomination approval. Ask your Migration agent to find out if nomination had been approved yet. There's a few of us been waiting for around 8 weeks now so it seems there is a common pattern of backlog. Where are you heading? Do you know which processing centre your application has been sent to?
  19. Yep we're all here drumming our fingers impatiently [emoji6]
  20. Indeed. I'll keep you posted. It's getting desperate here now and we need an answer. We're not high risk and we've jumped through all these hoops 4 years ago. Enough already!!!
  21. I've emailed the CO directly to ask for an update. I've no job in the UK as of next week and our landlord is selling up too. Our furniture gets into port 10th November. Given this is our second 457 I am shocked it's taking this long. They must be absolutely overrun with applications.
