  1. Hi. We used OSS two years ago to move from Brisbane back to the UK. They were great, very efficient. They have excellent wrapping material and technique. Sometimes they used a bit too much wrapping paper, even for stuff like electrical extension leads. But we cannot complain, as everything was in perfect condition at reception. So we would definitely recommend them.
  2. Thanks for all your replies. I already had a look at the skills assessment for a 189 for example. On the SOL my closest function is Software Engineer but as I don't have any qualifications in IT I need to go through the project reports stuff which is a pain because I don't really have project experience. So it would be great if my two years in Oz would exempt me from doing the skills assessment. Negotiating with my company to get a sponsor for a permanent visa would be much feasable. But in case I have to go through a skills assessment, does it need to be on the SOL ?
  3. I heard about the possibility of applying for a permanent visa after two years spent with the same employer on a 457. Does anyone have details on this ? What would be the permanent visa number ? Actually, my case is a bit more specific. After two years with this company in Australia, I have been transfered back to the UK (same company) and therefore broke my 457. Soon it will be a year that I am in the UK and I would like to be transfered back to Oz. This would be a new 457 again, still for the same company. Does anyone knows if in this case I could apply for a permanent visa immediately, or if the 2 years I did with this company in the past do not count anymore ?
