  2. Hi I am thinking about applying for a 190 pls tat sponsored visa at the moment my job has an opportunity to apply at Queensland but have seen it in south Australia also. For Queensland it says acs to assess my qualifications as I am in it. I don't have a qualification but am hoping to go down the recognition of previous work route as I have been doing the same job for about 15 years. My question is how do acs work this out and what kind of points oils they give me for work qualifications points??!
  3. Hi, I am trying to find the CSOL list for queensland. The only thing I can find is a QSOL list which says is only for people in queensland already. Anyone have the link for this??? The queensland webpage is confusing. I am in the UK at the moment.
  4. I have checked a certain amount of points and certain level of English

  6. I realise its not a police state etc, I just wasn't sure with the 190 state sponsored when it is valid from the two years of been in your chosen state or from 4 years when you can apply for aus citizenships ?
  7. As i want to apply for a 190 visa, which means you have to live in your chosen sponsered state of choise for two years to start with before living anywhere else in australia, i wondered whether after the two years can i go back to the UK for a few years and come back on the same visa, or do i have to live in australia for 4 years before going back and forth??/
  8. thanks. my other question is once i have done my two year stint in SA, i know its only after 4 years you can apply for australian citizianship. but after the two years am i allowed to then leave australian and come back anytime or do i have to wait for the 4 year period??? thanks

  12. Hi, I am thinking about applying for a 190 state nominated visa. If it is granted how long do I have to activate to make sure it doesn't become invalid? Also when do you pay for a visa application when you do the skill select or online when the visa is granted?
  13. Thanks, she has worked at a nursery for a few years now so does have the work experience, but she much doing the community nursery nurse role. The other jobs in the UK she likes is a hospital child play helper that basically plays with kids on the hospital wards, is that something you have in Australia?
  14. My wife currently works for the NHS in the UK, as a community nursery nurse, where she goes to children's clinics and parents houses to help kids with learning/physical problems. I am struggling to find anything in Australia that's similar to that, can anyone tell me if there is a similar role in aus? She has a Nvq level 3 in childcare
  15. Hi, i am currently working as an Infrastructure Engineer doing 3rd work and helping with IT projects, I look after all the VMware estate and Microsoft stuff. I am thinking about moving to Australia, what are my chances of getting a sponsored job before? I have looked on the internet and can't find much, but can find loads of normal jobs. If I move I'd need to start working quite soon how quick do you think I can get a similar job? Is it worth applying for a temporary/contract job to start with?
  16. Hi, If I moved to aus I think I'd apply for the 189 skilled visa, the closest sol I can find is computer network and systems engineer. How do they assess your job skills? Do you have to just have so many years of experience , or exams too?
  17. I work for the NHS and get 33 days holidays which is a lot more than most in aus by the sound of it. I I didn't realise I'd only get about 20 days leave in aus. I'm not going to force my wife into anything, I've mentioned to her about it if one day she decides it's for her then great. Just have to keep as a dream for me :-)
  18. Hi, Thanks for the replies, I'm in it my job is on visa list so that's fine, my wife loves hot weather and going abroad for holidays so she would love the place but not sure enough to move, il try and have a holiday there to see if I like it anyway and see how it goes
  19. hi, i'm 33 and have a 5 year old and 7 year and married. I quite fancy the idea of moving to Australia, but my wife doesn't, the main thing she says is because of leaving her family. how do people get round not seeing family?? how oftern do people manage to get back to the UK to visit family, I keep thinking if we moved could go 1-2 times a year, but then I thought it could become quite expensive..??
