good luck to every one who is waiting for their grant

    Cheers

  3. What is actually going on? Is there only ONE case officer in Team 1 ? ( I recon that is the reason it is called Team 1 !! )

From where I can see, grants coming one by one - not in any batch. All the other state Immi are releasing files ASAP only this Team 1 !

They must be up to something ! This waiting game is killing me ! !

  4. Once we get the PR - lets not forget about this pathetic system and we should do something to raise voice against this non-transparent activity - I believe Immigration is only place where the customers who pay their hard earned huge money and receive ZERO customer service or acknowledgement about where we are. From my understanding, considering todays technology - there is no reason an application should take that much long. I understand back log etc. but this is not something that is not manageable. My Boss says - if Govt wants to raise money they impose it to the non-residents who doesn't have voting rights; for example - higher immigration application fees, spouse application fees added etc.

Unfortunately, most of us after receiving PR - will forget about this pathetic pain!

  5. If you received pr on that contract which has to be full time and pay should be the same even then you still have right to leave.. if you r doing part time then your employer has breached the contract terms so even then its your right to leave.. i dont see any info on immi webside saying you have to stay for further 2 more years after pr..

As per my understanding, once you are Permanent Resident - you get the same work right like any other Permanent resident. Which means you can reasonably give notice to your employer and can resign the job.

I believe if your employer is saying so - you can try speaking to NSW Fair Trading. Your visa doesnt restrict you anyway, employment contract can be terminated with a notice in advance.

    Thanks
