  1. Hi,

Wondering if someone can provide me with a ballpark time line for the following:

    186 application submitted on 15 May 2015.

Request for additional medical info and ACPO / police check on 22 September 2015.

Medical completed on 29 September 2015 and info submitted directly via BUPA.

Certified ACPO check uploaded on 20 October 2015 i.e. all additional info request submitted by 20 October.

How much longer am I likely to wait for a decision? I'm thinking about another month maximum?

    Thanks in advance

    Sean

Typically it should be 28 days after you submit, the CO will look into it. if lucky the CO might looks into it earlier.

  2. We have no rights to push them they will do it as per their convenient.

We can ask about visa status. My advice is better to wait till our turn.

You can send an email and ask for the updates, however they will respond you as a standard/templet reply

Hi Shriniwas, Thanks for advice. I am still application received, so I suppose at least they should tell me if my case is allocated in their standard/template reply. I wonder if this is the case?

  3. nothing is wrong well that's your right isn't it?

but in my case when I sent an email immi suggested me that they can't disclose my updates to me coz it's only my MA who can get it so they told me to ask my MA to send them a mail which I did then I knew my updates so I dnt know in yr case.

for my case when I aplied we signed a paper for information send list which is only my MA that's why !

    hope it's help

    good luck mani ;)

In terms of nomination, I think it should be the employer or MA to communicate with Immi.

As for the Visa application, can we communicate with Immi ourselves?

  4. I am so happy. After 8 years living in this country. My husband had a 457 visa cancelled 2 years ago while we were overseas and could not return to AU for 5 months. I managed to return in a tourist visa and apply for a 457 visa through my job. And today, after all the blood and tears we're Permanent residents in this country we love.

You guys have been a great support. I do appreciate all the help and patience. Good luck to everyone and I wish all the best to all of you

    .

What a happy termination of the long Journey! Congrats!

  7. Bret,

I know that many don't agree and think we shouldn't do it but every time I emailed immi asking for an update it always helped. First time I did they approved my nomination on the next day. Second time, they requested more documents for my application. But I understand that some think that we may be causing delays...

Thanks! Based on Vinzy's info, looks like we could send mail to push, but better to limit the times.
