Hi i’m sure there have been many capital gains questions on here previously but I can’t find anyone with the same circumstances as me. i have recently sold a property in the uk whilst working in Australia on secondment (I’m on a 457 spouse visa) but I’m still currently being paid by my former employer in pounds into my UK bank account. it is the only home I have owned and was my primacy residence until the commencement of my secondment. The property was never rented out. Does anybody know if I would be liable for capital gains tax or if I even need to inform HMRC? many thanks

Hi I submitted a partner Visa 309 request on the 8 July 2015. I have not been allocated a casework officer yet, the application says "progressing". Did anybody else apply around the same timeframe, if so how are your applications progressing? Many thanks David

Sorry should of said my wife is Australian so I will be on a spouse visa. Also looking for public sector jobs rather than just central Gov.

Hi I'm currently an executive Officer (EO) in the UK civil Service and will be moving to Melbourne with my wife in Feb 16. Does anybody have any experience of looking for the equivalent Australian Government jobs?
