  1. Personally, I think your evidence is strong enough. Relax and tell us when you get PR visa. Your parent visa 143 took more than 2 years to process, did they require the evidence of dependency during those 2 years (up to decision date)?
  2. Yes, I would expect he is still studying, living with parents and receiving monthly living allowance from them. I consulted a registered migration agent and received advice that the rule would apply at time of decision for parent visa. This morning, I called DIBP and the lady on phone said the rule would apply at time of application for parent visa. I did describe the possible case in detail, in which the dependent is 21 yo at time of application, but may be over 23 yo if it takes 3 years to process the parent visa (which it is right now). I know advice from DIBP is more reliable but it is verbal advice. Is there any way I could get a written (by email at least) to my query from DIBP?
  3. Good afternoon, my parents wish to include my brother as dependents on their contributory parent visa (173/143). They plan to apply in 12/2017, as I will satisfy the sponsor's residence requirement by that time. The only problem is the recent change to the definition of family unit on 19 November https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa/Incl By the look of at, dependent children over 23 cannot be included. Now it gets complicated as my brother will be under 23 years old at time of application (12/2017) but will turn 23 when the visa is decided/finalized (estimated to be in 2020). I would really appreciate if anyone know if dependent's age requirement applied at visa decision/finalization stage? For skill migration, the age requirement/point applies at the time invite is received. However, parent visas could be a different matter.
  4. Direct grant means you get grant straight away, without getting contacted or requested for more info by CO. It is probably the fastest way of getting visa 189 grant.
  5. Just passed the 28th day of waiting after CO contact <sigh> I was only asked to sign form 815, submitted same day.
  6. Congratulation on your grant I saw you getting grant 15 days after CO and only 1 day after submitting additional documents. Apart from signing health undertaking form 815, did CO request any other documents? How did you send the requested info to DIBP. I am interested in your case, because I was asked to sign form 815 on 14 Oct and submitted the same day via ImmiAccount/email but have not heard anything ever since.
  7. Hi all, so glad someone started this thread. I applied minutes after receiving the much-awaited invitation. Paid the fee and front-loaded all documents on-hand (including form 80 & PCC). Only medical left to do for me and my wife. Any idea when CO will be allocated? I heard it is 50-60 days (6-8 weeks) of waiting after lodging visa application based on current trend.
  8. Hi all, could anyone tell me how to generate HAP ID to do medical. I just got invited, lodged application, paid the fees, frontloaded everything. However, I could not find any button to generate HAP ID on immiaccount ...
  9. Hi all, does anyone know if I need to upload certified copy of my skill assessment letter? Or a high-quality colored scan will suffice as I already mentioned the reference/receipt number of the skill assessment letter? Also, on skill assessment letter my name was put down as "D B C_A". In all other documents, it was "B C D_A". Would it be a problem later on? The address mentioned on the letter also belongs to one of my relative, as he collected for me during my business trip. That address was not on my visa application/form 80. Would that be ok? I know they are trivial questions, but really appreciate if anyone could shed some lights. This really help me to alleviate my worries during the very long long wait ...
