  1. WE have emailed our local notary last night and one has come back to us today so hoping they can do a good price for us. Thanks Wrussell
  2. Hi Barry,thanks for your response,much appreciated.
  3. Hi everyone, We have decided not to go through a migration agent and are preparing all documents for our TRA assessment. which is correct assessing body for wall and floor tiler. We need 210 documents certified as an estimate. 18 front page certified documents and bout 190 of them initialled and dated. We are wondering if anyone recently has done this and could help with advising how much this would cost. I have emailed public notaries and are now looking for a good affordable solicitor that can help us. I have a feeling this is not going to be cheap. Or can a migration agent offer this service for TRA preparation only? Based on what we have researched, we would have to pay 2500 upfront plus the TRA fees to go through an agent. we have looked at this a lot and feel we can get all of what is needed for evidence etc and submit it our self. If anyone can help advise we would really appreciate it!! i have spent days on preparation so far, its very time consuming, ut i know it will be worth it in the end.
  4. Hi, Can anyone help advise on if we should wait until my husband has had a back decompression, he has a trapped nerve in his lower back, has undergone treatment for the last two years. it was a result from a road traffic accident. My husband is a Wall and floor tiler with nvq 2 city and guilds back in 2005. since his accident he has been back to work and working 6/7 days, he gets the odd twinge and a bit of numb feeling, so the decision is up to him to have the decompression op or not, still undecided, however we are unsure to start the visa process prior to op date which would be December 2016 or Jan 2017, or wait until after operation. we have been advised 3 months recovery time where he will not be able to work. many thanks in advance. hoping to move to Oz 2017.
  5. Thank you very much for your reply, we are going to contact a migration agent later today by email to see what they recommend. Thanks again!
  6. 7. Hi everyone. We have been informed that due to a road traffic accident 2 years ago my husband needs to have a back decompression operation to relieve a trapped nerve. It isn't decided if my husband is going to go ahead with it. But if he does we are looking at 3 months recovery period. We have looked up health issues that could fail and we r concerned that we shouldn't apply until after his operation. But as the visa application is going to be about a year anyway, we are wondering if we should not wait and proceed as his operation would be December 2016 if my husband does go ahead with it. The application costs are not cheap. And so my question is to anyone who would be able to help advise or have been in a similar position could give some feedback or advice on their experience. Since the accident my husband has been working with no problems just a big sore. And working 6 and 7 days a week. So working is no issue. We are led to believe he would be fully functional 3 months after the operation. He is a wall and floor tiler. Can anyone help advise us so we can make the decision when to start the application process with a migration agent. Many thanks from cold wet windy Wales UK. Longing to be in Oz.

  14. Hi Jessica, thank you for your response. Great to hear from you. I have a few other qualifications in other sectors that i could always go back too, so i think that i could fit in dependant on what type of if any work is available with my skills and provided skills are transferable etc to aus. In the Uk i arrange electric meter installations or a large energy company for commercial business and house builds, its very complex and stressfull, i think im ready for a change and i know i wouldn't mind going back to call centre work if able to fill the position. I'm nearly full time hours so full time would be ok if i had too do it providing i can sort out breakfast club or childcare. We would just do what we do here if possible. Over the past 10 years i gained qualifications in beauty therapy, jewellery making which i love to do as a hobbie and also qualified to teach aerobics, so i could always look at a refresher course and go down that road i suppose. I am quite optimistic we will make it work, its been a life long dream and now we have the funds to try it. We are going to keep out home in the UK as a back up just in case we cannot find the work or settle. We have decided to give it a 2 year timescale limit to try it. Yes a reccie is definitely on the cards hopefully our visa will have been sorted or on its way by then and we will have had more research done at home. i know we have to be realistic, i've seen many families that have returned due to aus not meeting expectations or missing family, we only have one chance at it and a costly one at that. So our reasons for doing it are still the same. I just hope its realisitc and viable for us,only one way to find out aye!! Thank you so much for your response xxx
  15. HI, thank you for your message. It's really appreciated. Looking forward to researching. Completely agree with the weather. We r also looking at brisbane too. Many thanks and good luck, if I cone across anything new I will let u know thanks
  16. Hi, We r applying under skilled in dependant. My husband is a wall and floor tiler and for him he needs to get a aqf level 3 and assessed by trades recognition Australia. He has his uk cs cs card and his nvq qualification. But needs the Aus recognised qualification. The Australian government website for immigration is very useful. There are also emigrate seminars in the UK in October search live down under and the visa bureau. We went to one years ago but now we have decided we are ready to emigrate we are going to go to one in October that our migration company is holding. We r also looking at queensland too. It might be worth you speaking to a migration consultant for advice. Good luck with your application regards mel
  17. Hi Mark Thank you for your reply, it's refreshing to hear the wages compensate the cost of living, we just have no idea which part of Aus to go for. We will keep researching and hopefully make the right decision what part of Aus to apply for. I can see your point about not visiting. I know my family and i will fall in love with Aus as soon as we arrive. Thanks again for your post, good luck to you and your family with your application. Regards Mel
  18. Hi Thank you for your response. I will certainly check out Seek.com Thanks
  19. Hi everyone, We have decided we want to go to Aus on my husbands skill under independent skilled route. We have two children aged 5 and 11. Can anyone help advise on salary figures for customer service work part time hours for me. Just general admin reception or call centre work, I have 20 years experience in customer service and have been with my employer for the last ten years. Also what salary to expect for a wall and floor tiler self employed or employed. Looking to go to Brisbane or Adelaide. We have never been to Aus, so we are planning to visit next year to see how we like it. i know it will take a while,we need to get the AQF 3 before we can send in the expression of interest. so i thought i would say hi to all and any helpful info would be greatly appreciated. We have talked about migrating for ten years, now we are close to 40 so its now or never. Many thanks Hill familey in South Wales.
