  1. My husband went to see an MA today and she told him he would not be entitled to free schooling as he will be on the bridging visa after applying for the 820 till we get the 801, but if there's any way to get around this I would love to know
  2. Thanks for all your replies and advice. I'm bricking it a bit but determined to do this.
  3. trying to make this short and simple! Husband Australian, me English. Met 2004 got married 2008 in UK. Separated 2009 as I was 'naughty' and immature. I got pregnant, father is Spanish, didn't want anything to do with child. Me and husband remain good friends, best friends even, throughout pregnancy and was there at scans n the birth (I have pictures of him in the hospital at the birth) November 2010 husband has to go back to Aus. We remained best friends and have evidence of correspondence and he has always doted on my son like like his own. Husband has been over to visit us in UK 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. Me and my son have been over to visit him Oct 2013 and Feb this year. It's the last 18 months or so we're now thinking we want to get back together and live in Aus. We have lots of photo evidence, travel documents (ie, when the three of us have travelled together), skype calls, whatsapp etc I am reeeeeally hopeful I could be waivered the 820, mostly cos of the costs of schooling my son on international fees and because we have been married 7 years . I am aware there could be complications regarding my sons bio father- I don't know where he would be except somewhere in Madrid... We are arriving in Aus this Aug and will be in contact with a migration agent, but if anyone has any advice or info I'd sooooo appreciate it
