As everybody know there is a backlog this year (2015-16) for Accountants. Last years two rounds did not issue any invitation to 2211. Can anyone recall whether this backlog is a recurring issue? I mean was there a a backlog in 2014-15 which related to 2013-14.

I believe Statistical data must have been updated by now if thw invitation round had been planned on August 3rd, 2015.

As far as i have searched, there is no center offering PTE A testing services in Pakistan. Can any one suggest what are the best alternative? where should i travel to boost the score?

Required knowledge areas increased

Orlando, When do you expect to get invitation? I also filed on June 28th. I am afraid, if the backlog is too long, I may miss the invitation.

Dear All, As you know that required knowledge areas have been changed by all the accountants assessing authorities,i,e CPA,ICAA,IPA. It will be interesting to know what is the outcome change in revised assessment criteria? Are members of ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICMAP, ICAI etc still getting positive assessment from the assessing authorities.

Dear All, I Submitted EOI with 60 Points on June 28, 2015 under 2211 (Management Accountant). I know there is long waiting que, can anyone suggest when i should expect invitation? I know Aug 03, is impossible. Your ideas will help me in making necessary arrangements. Thanks

This is what appears in yellow colored under occupation ceiling tab at http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Work/Skil Occupation ceiling for ICT Business and Systems Analysts (ANZSCO 2611), Accountants (ANZSCO 2211) and Software and Applications Programmers (ANZSCO 2613) has been reached and no further invitations will be issued for this occupation for the Skilled – Independent (subclass 189) and Skilled – Regional provisional (subclass 489) until the next financial year. I am not sure wheather it is outdated and by mistake left unupdated or it is the latest situation?

What i understand from the Border / occupation ceiling tab is that Accountants and System alnalysts will not be invited in 2015-16 under 189. Is my understanding correct? members please comment.
