We haven't lived in Brisbane but we do visit occasionally. I love living on the Sunshine Coast. We've been here a year and a half after spending a couple of months in Mango Hill, which was great for what we needed at the time (lots of shops to choose from to buy all the household goods we left behind in the UK). Things are just a bit more laid back up here. We have the choice of beaches or mountains 15 minutes in either direction. And if we want to go to the 'big smoke' we can pop down to Brisvegas which only takes 1.5 hours. For us, it's a no brainer.

I have an Aussie passport and we're applying for a Spouse visa for my husband, so hopefully there shouldn't be any issues with that. (Fingers crossed!)

Hi, l'm hoping to move home next year with my UK husband & our kids. We both work in Youth Work (manager & Community Youth Tutor) just wondering if Brisbane (in/near) is a good place to move to with little kids? We don't have family there so will need nursery/after school clubs etc. Any advice on good areas etc?
