  1. My qualifications are from the United Kingdom and in the UK there are a lots of disabled elderly persons that need specialist care I'm not sure if this happens in Australia but this is my job in England.
  2. Hello everyone I have had a look at your responses thank you very much for your help I think I will try and find some more details of my qualifications and reply back later tonight when I'm back from work It does seem at the moment that I would need a migration agent a consultancy agency to help so I will contact the ones that have been recommended.
  3. I have a NVQ1 and 2 in Health and Social care
  4. Thanks a lot your help. I will have a look at Go Matilda and the visa wizard. Could you help me define my skills under this category?
  5. Thank you so much for your help. At least you have gotten the drift of what I need, I am not here to make enemies, I just need help. Do you have any experience with sponsorship?
  6. Thanks for the reply. I do need your help but I just need the right information. As I said in my original post, as I am a health carer / personal assistant I could not find the right category to apply under the SOL. I am between two categories. Social Worker and Health-care professional I have taken my english exam and I have passed with a very high score. Do you know of any Australian Visa consultancy agencies?
  7. Hello all thanks for getting back to me, Although I appreciate all your responses I do not think anyone should have the right to tell me how I can afford it as you do not know my financial history, although I do appreciate your concerns. As I said in my previous post I did the necessary steps to obtain a skilled migration visa, I just did not know what category I fall under under the SOL list. However after consulting Visalawyers.com.au they advised me the skilled migration Visa is only for professionals such as doctors or directors of companies, and that there are quicker and better routes to take. Possibly I have confused things with regards to my boyfriend, If for instance he is out of the picture entirely for arguments sake - what would I have to do to get a Visa to work and live in Australia but be able to keep my French passport? Are there any Visa consulting agencies that you would recommend?
  8. Hi everyone, I hope you are keeping well, it has been a while since I have been on here as I have been trying to contact visa services and have been deciding what to do with regards to the answers I received to my original post link here. http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/234003-help-advice-bonjour-uk.html#post1936759042 As mentioned before my boyfriend is electric wheelchair bound and has a muscle weakness condition. A lot of answers did suggest that due to the complexity of my boyfriends health and disability it may be very hard for him to get a temporary Visa in Australia. We have since discussed about this and as he has a lot of help from the UK government of carers etc we don’t think Australia would help him. At the end of the day what we would like is for me to be able to have the right to buy a pre-owned/second-hand dwelling either a property or apartment and have the right for myself to work whilst I am in Australia. We would then spend six months in Australia as my boyfriend can have a short-term holiday visa I think it's six months allowance. My boyfriend can reside in Australia when it's winter in the UK. As I said in the previous post we were pretty much doing this plan and had an offer accepted on a new dwelling house but it fell through. Could sponsorship be an option ……as I said previously my boyfriend has family in Australia who are still British Citizens and hold British Passports are willing to sponsor me as they have their own businesses? Do you know of any other Visa consultancy agencies as a George Lombard never got back to me? We just need an option. Please can anyone help. Kindest Alisa
  9. Will George Lombard agency look if I will qualify for a visa based on my qualifications and experience?
  10. Thank you all very much for your responses.. No me and my boyfriend met by coincidence. I do work in the carer / health assistant industry.
  11. Hello Forum, I hope you are all keeping well. I posted earlier this weekend in General chat to introduce myself. My name is Alisa, I am a 28 year old French woman currently working in the UK. A little about my past occupation. I have a diploma in Management and worked in the banking industry for five years. My last job was 4 years at the Bank of Luxembourg where I was a operational control advisor on stocks, shares. I am now a health care assistant / health carer since november 2011 in the UK I am looking for the right Visa to move to Australia on a permanent basis and have come a bit stuck so I would appreciate advice and guidance on the right route to take. I went to Australia about a year ago with my boyfriend whom is electric wheelchair bound and has a muscle weakness condition. We visited his Mothers cousins family. Everything about Australia especially the hot weather suited his health. We loved it so much that along with my boyfriends father I tried to buy a new dwelling for my boyfriend and myself. Unfortunately Bank of Melbourne refused my mortgage and cash on three problems despite passing the FIRB. 1. Too many names on contract 2. My boyfriends father as a guarantor. 3. Not Australian. I decided to draw a line and we re-started. I am now looking at ways I could get a permanent (or temporary) working visa. I wanted to apply for a skilled visa to live and work in Australia; Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189). I am currently a health carer / health personal assistant. I completed the form on the Australian government immigration website I completed the required English-Language test and passed with a very high-score. The last step was to obtain a suitable skilled assessment. However due to my job title and job description from the Skilled Occupations List (SOL). I was finding it hard to find a category in which I fit. I contacted the AASW, as I believe it best suited me. However on reviewing the assessment criteria they forwarded to me in an e-mail some of it applied and some of it did not to my job title. After this sticking point I found an Australian website called visalawyers.com.au I contacted and had a chat. The advice given was that; To get a skilled assessment it would be a waste of money as my job description fits too many categories...I am half in the social care and ha A skilled assessment would only be given for example if your a director of something in the Skilled Occupations List (SOL) If by some chance I was granted a Skilled assessment and passed it and finally filled in an expression of interest.... there is a 5 year waiting of a potential invite. Quicker and better routes. I have given you as much information as possible so I am at that point where I need help and advice. Where do I go from here? Do I carry on with the current route or do I try a different route? My boyfriend Mothers cousins family went to Australia 20 years ago and all have British passports but have the right run a business work and live in Australia. They are not Australian citizens. I would like to be able to work and reside in Australia and keep my French passport. Not become an Australian citizen...just like my boyfriends mothers family. What would be the best visa for this? What other types of visa are there? / Are there any other type of visas that could suit me? How does a sponsored visa work? Thank you very much for reading everything hope you can help. Kindest wishes Alisa
  12. Thank you everyone for your welcome messages I will post everything and all details in another thread as it is more than an introduction. Alisa
