  1. Thanks Tom for your reply. I have e-mailed ANMAC this evening and will let you know of their reply. I am working full time at the minute and have 3 young kids so a full-time degree is going to be a lot of pressure. Mind you, if it's the right thing to do....... Did you find you had to study full on for the modules or could you do some last minute cramming in 2 weeks or so (with exception of the non-medical prescribing) :-)
  2. Hi there. Has anyone heard that ANMAC might be changing there skills assessment to be in line with APHRA and no longer accepting diploma trained Midwives (as I am)? Also, are there any diploma trained midwives out there that have applied to APHRA recently? What outcomes have you had? Has anyone been refused or have you all been referred to bridging? Or indeed did they pass any of you with supervision? My Diploma is with distinction if that makes any difference? Thanks much. x
  3. I am also keen to hear the outcome of your situations. I am a UK Diploma trained midwife with 14 years experience and it feels like it is nigh on impossible to get registered in Oz. I am contemplating topping up to a degree, but I fear even with this I would still not meet the APHRA criteria. Is it a guaranteed thing that with a midwifery degree I would get registration with APHRA? TIA
