  1. - No need for a medical

    - Took around 4 weeks but that was due to requiring clarification regarding the medical cover they requested.

    - The no further stay was to confirm we understood if we were here for the 12 months we couldn't re-enter via a tourist visa for another 6 months, once the 143 is granted you can re-enter immediately.

    Hey Geordie Joe,

This may seem a strange question, but following on from my previous post, and now knowing you're in the situation I was interested in of being on an e600 whilst having active 143 application..... Can I please ask if you have access to reciprocal Medicare arrangements whilst you spend time in Aus on the e600? Were you able to enrol in Medicare, and that having the active 143 application didn't affect this.

  2. Hi

We are currently in Perth on the E600 visa awaiting a grant of our 143. The application was completed on line and was straightforward, however before it was granted immi insisted we had health insurance in place to cover the period and we had to sign a no further stay declaration for a further 6 months. We did make it clear on the application that we were waiting for a 143 as some of the questions wanted details around current jobs property etc.

    regards

    Hey Joe, many thanks for the reply. Can I ask;

    - Did you get asked to undergo a medical when applying for the E600?

    - How long did the E600 take to be granted?

    - Couls you clarify what the other further stay decalaration means. Does it mean if you were there for 12 months on the E600 and then the 143 was granted, then you would not be able to enter Aus for 6 months?

    Thanks in advance.

  3. Hello again folks... similar theme to my post from a moment ago, but different question...

Those of you that have applied for a CPV-143 and have then also applied to have a 12 month e600 so you can travel out as a visitor whilst you wait for your CPV-143.... I'm interested to know what the process was like getting the e600. Was the application easy and did having the cpv-143 underway make it an issue in any way?

    All opinions and thoughts welcomed.

  4. Hello fellow CPV-143 applicants/holders. Here is a question that I want to put out to the community, and also hoping that Alan from GM may add some value also.

When in the waiting room on a 143 application, if we were to travel to Aus on a 12 month e600 visa or a short 3 month travel visa, then if IMMI were to call us for our medicals for the 143 application whilst we were on-shore in Aus, then are we allowed to have our medicals done on-shore in Aus whilst there, or would we be expected to travel back to the UK to have them done.

I know that we need to be off-shore to have the 143 granted, but it's the medicals I'm interested to know if it matters whether you are on-shore and have them there.

    Any input gratefully appreciated.

  5. Dates and the 143

Hello everyone I have tried to ask this before but got confused...If, say, the 143 is granted in December 2017 do I then go and reside in Australia within six months? A year? Three months? If I can find out now it will help me plan a bit. Thanks, Custardy.

Once the VISA is granted then you will have to activate it within 12 months from the earliest of the date of the Medical or the Police Checks. By activate, it means you must enter Australia. You are then free, in theory, to leave again immediately if you really needed/wanted to, although that would not usually be necessary as you'd be moving there and then potentially.

  6. Has anyone else encountered this problem. I was granted 143 visa in April 2013 and have been living in Brisbane for 2 years. Immi sent an email letting me know the visa had been approved but I have never had a Notification of Grant with all my details on it including the visa grant number.

I had to phone Immigration in London to find out my visa grant number at the time.

Now I need to produce this notification and though I've emailed the case officer who dealt I've not had any response. How can I get this notification - any ideas ?

I'm not too sure what sort of notification you need or why, but in terms of seeing the VISA granted and which was electronically tagged to your passport, then I recommend you use the Online Visa Enquiry service which you can access here; https://online.immi.gov.au/evo/firstParty?actionType=query

  7. Hi guys,

I have also just been granted the 143. I did the same as you, even used the same bank. I then transferred the amount to my son's account and arranged for a banker' cheque to be sent - saved over $1000 in credit card charges. I waited until asked for the dosh (mainly as they need the reference number). Everything went very smoothly. Good luck with it.

    cheers

Hi oldun, congrats on the grant. Just wondering what were your stats? When did you apply, and when did CO get allocated, and when was final grant etc...?

  8. Good afternoon everyone

TEST email just back still showing 8 Oct for 143‘s but a very interesting note added saying please don't be concerned that the date hasn't t moved yet as they have granted over 100 visas in the first 4 days of this week! Hmm think someone at IMMI is reading our posts! Anyway if someone at IMMI is reading them, THANK YOU, we appreciate the updates!

    Julie

Hey Julie, great post, thanks for sharing the update. Just wondering... Do you think that they mean they have granted 100 CPV in 4 days, or that they have granted 100 visas of various sub-types in 4 days? Perhaps you would be able to Copy and Paste the email exert into this thread.
