  1. Actually a lot of physical evidence; receipts, statements, super forms, wills, joint accounts, declarations, cards/letters, tickets. Etc. In terms of the "Skype" things...just enough to prove that we spoke and maintained our relationship whenever we weren't travelling to visit the other.
  2. Thanks for the help there. No we didn't, we did it as we felt it was the right time to do so, and as a commitment to each other- closest thing we can get to marriage, haha! As of right now...our evidence has filled two shoe-boxes. Too much?
  3. Hey guys! Just wondering if anyone's in the same boat as me, or knows of any similar experiences. We're a lesbian couple (me British and her Australian) applying for the de-facto visa...in the throes of getting everything together now. 22 months of things I'm going through! Just a quickie, we registered our relationship in March, and the certificate came back as a civil partnership- woman said there was some legislative changes. I was wondering if immi will look at it any differently? 2 Q's: 1- Does anybody have any same-sex experiences on the defacto? I'm panicking a little, and it's a bit of a grey area on the internet. 2- Could anyone recommend a good migration agent? I'm confident of putting everything together; It's just for a few small questions I have, and someone to smooth over everything at the end! Stacey
  4. Have applied! Q- When is it you'd like to employ from? Won't land in Brisbane til 14th June, but will happily start on 15th
  5. Hello! I'll be in Brisbane, Morningside from the 14th!
  6. Hey all...went ahead today and booked my tickets for the big move, fly out on June 12th! Just a question if I may? I'm flying from Heathrow > Manila. And then from there > Darwin > Brisbane. The layover in Darwin is just 60 minutes. Would I get stopped and checked for all my documents (presuming I do) at Darwin, or would this be at Brisbane? OH thinks Darwin because the Darwin > Brisbane would be a domestic flight and thus, no need at Brisbane? When I've had layovers in the past (in other countries)...it was simply a case of getting off the plane, waiting around, and boarding the next, not passing any sort of control, just going back through security? Sorry if it's a confusing question, just trying to sort out everything and whatnot. Stacey
  7. Hey all, I'm Stacey, 23 from the UK. Moving out to Brisbane to be with my partner come June/July...just waiting for the right flight to come through! They just left the UK yesterday after a holiday, feeling a bit down in spirits today, think this is why I'm here more than anything...just to talk to people in a similar boat, and for general advice/tips (should there be any!) Look forward to getting to know you all
