  1. Thank you both so much for the advice!
  2. Hello, My husband is a joiner, currently working as a caravan repairer & has previously fitted kitchens and worked for many years building modular buildings. He has no formal qualifications, but lots of practical experience. I understand that he will need his skills assessing by VETASSESS - please can somebody give me some help advice regarding getting the process rolling - all I seem to get is information from migration agents asking for fees before he has had his skills assessed. Is practical experience enough to be able to emigrate?? Or am I getting my hopes up. We both had working holiday visas 10 years ago and after getting married & having children both know Australia is where our hearts lie!
  3. Hi, I am new to the forum but wondered if anyone could help me please. My husband is a joiner, as not formally qualified in the UK, a migration expert has advised that he would need to have his skills assessed in order to go for the 189 visa. Am I correct in thinking that as the skills list changes every July? Would it be best waiting until the new list is published in July to make sure his trade is still on there before paying the Migration experts & starting the Vetasses process?! Hope this makes sense! x
