We just got our 489 visa as well , we are off to the sunshine Coast at the end of September . Good luck .

Hi guys , well after what feels like forever we have booked the flights, and will be there at the end of September. it doesn't feel real. We are off to the sunshine Coast just in time for the summer , the summer in the UK (Wales ) has been a wash out so we are looking forward to the Australian one . well done , no we still don't have it yet my agent sent yet again another email today . What we think now is its to do with my oldest son's visa, so hopefully they will respond to us soon .

Hi guys , is there anyone that had to wait forever to get a decision for there visa ? Well we have been waiting since January . We have called and emailed them, and all they will say is that they are doing routine checks :arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh: we done meds back in April. How long do they need .

Hiya, yeah we've checked out schooling and because our son turned 11 in April he will start high school January 2016, if he had turned 11 after June he would have like your son had another year in juniors. We Would just like him to have had a couple of months in a junior school there to make some friends before he started high school. hopefully we will get our visa soon so can start making plans.

I had my red book to hand my agent asked me for the certificate and I sent it so god knows what the hold up is . I'm going to call again Sunday night to see if I can ge them up . At the end of the day mate we have payed a lot of money I know paying the money don't guarantee us getting a visa but there could be a bit more information for us . for us it's a family of 4 , if they can't cope with the work load then hire more staff . The service is bad I think.

yes as they say no news is good news , welcome to the suck . I've been out for 14and a 1/2 years don't know how hard it is to get details off the army . Hope they pull there fingers out soon think my head is about to explode lol

Think my agent is as fed up as us . She give us the trn number last time . Plus she has cc us in the emails and still no answer off them . Quick to take the money but not quick to get back with yes or no . We are on hold for the min . But as hard as it is life isn't bad so it's just go on as normal .

Yes we do have a agent, she thinks we should have been one of the first lot to get a visa from the July 1st lot . The thing is why would the co say go for meds and pc and wait 3 months or however long we got to wait . All was ok with both meds and pc . The only thing we can think of is that I was in the British army for 6 years , maybe that's holding things up ? . Think it's a call on Sunday night .

Sorry forgot to say , it's a 489ss . We was told to go for meds in April and get the pc done the Same time . We called up about 4 weeks ago and all they would say is that's its under review ????

Thanks guys for the info, unfortunately we are still in the UK waiting for the golden tickets to come, don't know what the hold up is but its frustrating, we was hoping to move at the end of August but that's looking unlikely now . The lad starts comp in jan so we would like him to make a few mates be for that so fingers crossed we get the visa soon .

We applied in January meds and pc in April delay email in June we called up twice and still we wait . It's a 489 visa ss . If they are going to say no then just say it don't keep us in limbo , it's so frustrating I don't think we can take much more .
