  1. Hi all, just wanting to get some advise for my friend.

What is the current immigration requirement in Australia for children with disability?

My friend is wanting to migrate in Australia and one of her son is deaf. He is 7 years old.

What are the chances of them getting approved?

My friend's qualification is fine. If it wasn't for son's disability they would have applied straight away.

    Cheers for your input.

    Thanks,

  2. Sometimes people ask for an urgent ceremony if they need to travel, want to get earlier access to government tuition support, etc., otherwise normal applies to most people.

Thanks MaggieMay24, if that's the case what's the standard wait time for the ceremony. Just curious.

I asked my friend and she was on Normal. Waited 7 months for it. i don't mind the wait but interested to see anyone who had experience on Urgent and what was the wait time.

    Cheers

  3. Good morning everyone, just letting you know that my MA just wrote to me following:

Based on previous applications that we have lodged and advice we are getting back from the DIBP, applications are taking around 3 months to finalise.

I have gone through my 100 days, I no longer believe in 3 months, much if you get allocated to NSW.

  4. Morning all! Today was the day for us :)

  5. I have one question if someone help me in this situation

    I applied Nomination 29 may 2015 and visa 1 june 2015

medical and police clearance done after application

i am worried about IELTS going to expire on 25th august 2015

if case officer allocate after this date ..ask for new IELTS?

    anyone have idea?

    Thank you in advance

@chintan1885 it should be from date of application in which your IELTS is still valid and not the date they look at your application. I'd be interested to know inputs from others who had the similar experience.

  6. At last!!! VISA has been approved :)My timeline for 457 to Ens 186 is as follows20/01/15 submitted all documents and Medicals via MA21/05/15 information requested for nomination (employer) and application22/05/15 information submitted to officer10/07/15 Visa approved!

Congrats! Would you know by any chance information they requested for your employer?

  7. Think we've had one person on here approved but his seemed to be an anomaly as it was approved extremely quickly.

My dates are similar to yours and sat in the queue waiting :)

We are on similar dates as below -

    186 TRT

    Nomination Lodged: 14th April 2015

    Application Lodged: 25th April 2015

    Medicals: 15th June 2015

    Nomination Approved: waiting

    Visa Approved: waiting

    Occupation: IT

Hoping to get approved this month :arghh:

it's been on application received since.

  8. Just wondering where did you get this information from that says you cannot leave your job over a month if you are on 457 ?

This isn't true. I am on 457, went overseas for training (5 weeks) and never had any issues coming back. 4 months later, I went to a 6 weeks holiday overseas again and did not have any issues on my entry.

  9. If a person is on bridging visa (application is for permanent residency), will the University accept you as a domestic student or still international student?

The course fee if you are an international student is ridiculously expensive and looking on options if have to wait or I can do it now.
