  1. Thank you Cider Drinking Coder. I would definitely view myself as I visit at least once a year but I will seek out the threads you mention Thank you for that.
  2. For anyone else that may be interested I have found the following which does confirm what Wooba has said http://m.yourinvestmentpropertymag.com.au/property-tips/understanding-the-latest-changes-in-australias-foreign-ownership-laws-80236.aspxd
  3. Dear Wooba, if you are correct then you have absolutely made my day. Thank you. Has anyone on the forum actually done this?
  4. Hello Everyone, Can anyone clarify for me whether or not I can buy an established property (that is not new) before I actually reside permanently in oz? I hold a permanent resident visa but for several reasons I am unable to settle in Oz full time at the moment. The government website states that "the holder of an Australian permanent visa" is exempt from needing to apply for permission from the government to buy property but it does not make it clear whether I actually need to be residing there when I buy. Can anyone help me with this?
  5. Mike, yes I am aware of that but thanks for the reminder.
  6. Thanks for that Bungo. I thought so but I am relieved that someone has actually said it. Yes, I have a Contributory Parent Visa. Many thanks
  7. I have my CPV granted and I did move to Oz and had to come back for private reasons. I still want to move to Oz but find myself in a dilemma as my family in Oz have fallen out with me. It's a very sad situation but I still want to move back to Oz as the issue will be resolved with time. My question is, can anyone, including my family in Oz actually prevent me from going now that I have my visa? Can they withdraw sponsorship at this point?
