  1. Full 6 weeks since visa application as of today. MA says no news/change so far.
  2. Welcome newbies Strayadreams and ILA, that looks like a tight situation you both are in
  3. Great news amitbhatia and 4321rp! Can I ask where did you apply from? Low risk country? First time 457? Thanks!
  4. That's quiet a delay! Looks like you may have to start work right away when your reach. Good luck!
  5. Well its no fault of yours, I am sure your employer will have to wait for the visa. Did they give you a date to start work? I have also stopped working, so no pay till I get there
  6. Good that you got a reply although it does not answer the big question "WHEN"
  7. Thanks for that I guess I will have to do it myself then. All the best to you
  8. What kind of 457 visa info will I need? Do I need to ask them for copy of my application submitted? May I ask how much does it cost to engage an MA?
  9. My visa acknowledgement clearly states that a CO will only be assigned after the 6th week. So I may not even know if they need additional docs at this point I guess. Just keeping my fingers crossed.
  10. Its hard, I am not too sure on how to answer you. Did you ask your agent to contact the immi?
  11. Dear all, I need some guidance on what documents etc to get ready before leaving. I am currently waiting for my 457 visa. However, will like to apply for skills assessment and PR if possible next year. I am not sure if there is a thread on this subject already, if so please guide me. Can I use my 457 medical report for PR application if its within a year? I understand we need to add HIV test, can I just add that to the current medical report? I wasn't asked for police clearance yet for my 457, will I be able to get one while in Australia? One last question, when we apply for PR will the CO have access to our 457 visa documents submitted? MY 457 is done by MA so I do not exactly have a copy of what they submit. thanks for reading and hope to get some insight.
  12. ILA and RachielleLauren, Hope you both get your grant soon...hang in there!
  13. I am a bit lost on who is waiting how long... The processing time for Low Risk Country is maximum 2 months and High Risk Country is 3 months right? Anyone waiting beyond this period?
  14. This is tough strayadreams.... you are applying from UK? Hope you get the visa soon I am starting to become restless
  15. Thank you Nemesis! Yes I read those, may I ask if we are allowed to work for the same employer but different branch/address within the same state? I couldn't find this info anywhere. I have no plans to do that, just trying to find out the conditions.
  16. Oh I see. Thats tough for sure, hope you here soon after the holidays.
  17. Hang in there, the grant seems to be just around the corner for you. I have a long way, my MA has advised me that I will not hear anything before end of April.
