Hey guys! Me and a friend moving over to Sydney in April on a whv. I've been told that I'm better off going later on like in September, will I struggle to get work in April?

Do I need a certain amount of money in my account to be granted a working holiday visa? I'm looking at booking my flight pretty soon, also where is the best place to start ? I've been told Perth or Sydney? Would appreciate any advice.
