  1. Yeah I'm planning to stay. Oh so I'll need to apply for a new visa? Cause my current visa expires in March 2016 and I thought I could bring forward
  2. I failed once (and was on conditional status) so this is my second time failing the same semester. I received an email from Uni and it was stated like this: "As a consequence of your academic status being determined as Terminated, you are potentially in breach of Student Visa Condition 8202 ‘Achieving Satisfactory Course Progress'. A breach of your Student Visa Conditions may lead to the cancellation of your student visa by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) and a 3-year exclusion on further visa applications to Australia. It is therefore extremely important that you understand your rights. If you choose not to lodge a Request for Review, or are unsuccessful in a Request for Review or any subsequent appeal to the Student Progress Appeals Committee, the University will be required to report you to DIBP as soon as practicable after the 20 working day appeal period expires or outcome of your appeal has been determined. It is a legislative requirement to report international students on student visas, irrespective of whether you choose to be accepted or admitted into a new course."
  3. Hi I'm an international student studying in Perth. I failed Uni so my academic status is now terminated. I was being informed that DIBP may cancel my student visa and also a 3-year exclusion on further visa applications to Australia. I've received offer letter from other Uni and will have to accept by 12 jan. My ques is how will I know if my visa is being terminated? And when will DIBP imform me? I don't want to accept the offer and get partial refund because of my visa..
