  1. Hi all

I feel very fortunate to be able to share that I received my grant this afternoon. I had a call from a CO in the Perth office just after 2pm this afternoon checking a couple of details. She said that she needed to check the information I had provided with her manager and thankfully it seems her manager was in a good mood today as just after 5pm I received the email. It really is a great feeling and I feel for those that have been waiting for longer than myself and for such an extended period of time.

I wish everyone good luck and hope everyone hears soon. Thank you all for all the advice of the past months.

  2. There was an October grant in 40 days so that is reducing the average time considerably.

I think by the time all the September and October applications are worked through that average time would have sky rocketed. If you take out some of the 'freak' times, the average time is around 133 days.

  3. Hi Sripat,

Curious to know how fast team 4 will process your application.

I have just been informed that my application has been allocated to the same team 4 and that a CO will contact me if needed.

In the meantime waiting...at least my applications is already at someone's desk!

    Hi Korf7

How did you find out that it had been allocated? Was it via an MA? I reckon his has probably been the slowest week since I lodge my application.

Just seen that you've had your visa granted . . . massive congrats!!

    Cheers

  4. Hi all, got my visa today! Nomination and application lodged together through a ma on the 18th of Sept. Took 130 days, feeling very happy today :-)

Congrats Carterinoz, all the best for the future. Good to see that there were a couple of visa's granted yesterday after what seemed to be a bit of a lull. Also good to see that they are getting into the 3/4 week of September

  5. It looks like I'm the only one who hasn't been granted a visa from June yet. I lodged my nomination on 26/06/14, Visa lodged 2/10/2014, CO assigned 23/10/2014 asking for additional documents, Nomination approved 28/11/2014... Still waiting! I've been here for 8 years on multiple visas! Anyone know how much longer it will take? I have stuff to do, and I can't get my life moving forward until I get my PR approved! :(

The wait starts from when you lodge your application rather than the nomination, so looks as if you're in the October gang.

  6. Hey guys, Been following this thread for a while! How do you know when nomination has been approved? My timeline is as follows: Nomination sent: 26/9/14Medical completed: 3/10/14 – how do you know if this is finalised?PR application submitted: 26/10/14 Judging by other applications, I don’t expect to have anything before February! We just applied ourselves and not through an MA.

Your employer will be the first to know as they are the ones that lodged it. That's how it worked with me.

  7. The status of documents uploaded with my applications (both nomination and visa) changed yesterday from "Required" to "Received"!!

    Hi CSI

Not wanting to burst the bubble or dampen things but unfortunately from my own experience and from others on here it doesn't seem to be an inticator that things are going to happen any time soon. I got pretty excited when the same thing happened to me on 09.12.14 but others told me not to expect anything . . . sadly seems they were right.

    cheers

    Thomas

  8. Am an august applicant awaiting nomination and visa grant to be approved.

    my timeline below,

    Nomination Lodged: 29th Aug 2014

    Nomination Approved: Waiting...

Visa Application Lodged: 31st Oct 2014(All docs uploaded upfront including medicals which was done on 8th oct)

    Visa Approved: Waiting...

Does anyone have idea on how things are picked up as i see Sep applicants getting their visa grants when Aug applicants are still there waiting for their Grants..!

    Thanks

    Sri

It's not an exact science but your nomination may get approved anytime soon but you may then a bit of a wait for the visa as it was lodged 31.10.14.

  9. Also granted PR today..Below is my timeline for a 186 Transition Stream Visa

    Nomination Lodged - 27th Jun

    Nomination Approved - 4th Oct

    Application Lodged - 25th Nov

    Visa Granted - 18th Dec

Thats a a pretty crazy timeline, only waiting 3 weeks between lodgement and grant. Sure there's some pretty envious people on here - including myself. I take it must have been a straight forward app?

  10. hi guys,

does any one know if septemper applications being processed yet.

In my immi account, documents required went to received on 17/12/14, so is there any possibility of getting my pr before x-mas:cute:

    fingers crosssed.

    My time line

Nominatino and visa applided on 11th sep

    medicals finalised in nov

    Nomination approval----------waiting

    Visa grant ---

The changing of the status of the documents doesn't seem to mean much unfortunately. But from having a look on the immi website and from the posts on here it suggests that they have allocated applications lodged in September to case officers so fingers crossed it might happen soon.

  11. Just had a call from my MA, Nomination has finally been approved.

Now just the little matter of the visa to go now, additional documents applied for so will hopefully be in the early part of the new year.

That's good news after such a long wait. Fingers crossed the visa application is looking good and it will come through soon. Seems some get it pretty quickly after the nomination is approved when it's lodged at the same time, especially from July?

  12. Hi

I have just logged into my immi account and saw that documents required has changed to received.

Does it mean my file is being looked at.

Nomination and visa lodged 11th sep

There are some mixed thoughts about this. I had the same thing on the 9th Dec but nothing since. Some have said that it means there is a case officer allocated and others have said it means nothing. A few people on here have had there visa granted a few days after this has happened, some have had it granted quite some time afterwards. Hard to tell unfortunately

  13. Hi all, does anyone know if immigration will be working on these next week aswell or will they have a shutdown period over Christmas? Hopefully they are trying to get through alot before xmas?

    https://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/australia/public-holidays.htm

going by this this link my guess it that they will be open besides the usual public holiday closures. I heard of someone getting their PR last Saturday so hopefully they're hard at it (even on weekends!)
