Syed I would remove that photo ASAP.
If you were caught publicly posting the profits of a company without permission you could be sacked.

My PR came through today!
Nom & Visa 5th July.
I'll update with full info later!
I'm so relieved!
Nomination & Visa 5th July, 1 person, LR, ICT Tech, Transition, No Documents requested.
On a side note, another employee with a completely different job title got her PR today as well. So I imagine job title has less significance than we thought.

The irony is that I could also go through De facto with my Australian partner but I want to earn my visa because I am hard working not because of my relationship status.
Same for me. Had I known this whole process was going to take so long I'd have gone defacto. I would have had PR long ago!
200 days for me today. I never thought it was going to take this long

Got a question for you guys..
My migration agent didn't get us to sign a declaration to declare that they have been appointed by us. What impact will this have on the application?
Found out today as there is no TRN number after we requested it from the agent. So basically no one can see anything on a immigration account.
Advice please

Ask your MA to get it done and uploaded.
The TRN number is supplied to your MA in the bridging visa.

I think you can only get your medical done post application as you need a referral letter for each person that is part of you application. I did mine shortly after submitting the application.
You can do it before your submit the application. I did. I would get it done before, or immediately after. There's no reason not to, unless you think the process is going to take more than a year.
If you wait until they ask for you to do it you'll only delay the process.

my MA only asked me to do the first 3, but I'm not sure if it differs for any reason.

very jammy then... I suppose someone has to be!
I had some emotional attachment to the 6 month mark too. My MA regularly referenced a 6 months processing time up front but started talking about things taking longer around November (my visa nom was 21 June) although I'm a Direct Entry applicant and I'm pretty sure these are taking a little longer to process.
Yes I definitely think that MAs are saying 6 months, the immi website says 6 months, and when I applied, 6 months seemed to be the average. It only took my 2 friends 4 months. I understand it's more like 8 now, but it's SO frustrating not knowing when it's going to happen.
-
Are they just jammy or was their something unusual e.g. submitting their nomination application >3 months earlier than submitting their visa application?
No, nominations and visas submitted at the same time.
-
My Ma stated they are processing feb to June , she feels my file should be opened by end week of Jan or first week of feb and Direct Entry Visa for Managerial roles and ICT ARE taking more time than processing it seems.
lets hope the best.
nom&Visa- 14July2016, HR, Customer Service Manager.Transition
There are 2-3 people in May win ICT roles who got their visas in around 190 days.
-
The shared spreadsheet indicates that the processing times for applications made between Jan 2016 and June 2016 has been running at about 8 months. Almost there!
Is your application Transition or Direct Entry?
Oh I know. I just hoped.
There are people with the same job role and from HR countries with extra people on their visas who have had theirs in around 190 days. I'm on 184 days.
I'm transition, 1 person, and LR.

6 months for me today. I really thought I'd have it by now

Congratulation mate. Great New Beginning with New Year.. Enjoy.
Don't congratulate me, I'm still waiting on mine!

According to spreadsheet who got it? I can't see it.

According to spreadsheet someone got pr on 31/12/2016. Is this possible immigration work on this date his timeline is nom 26/06/2016 visa 26/07/2016. What you think is this true? If yes this is great thay already on last week of june
Doubtful, but possible. It was a Saturday so someone could have been doing overtime. Only they can answer really.

Anyone knows when the immi will back to work?
They'll probably be open from tomorrow but I imagine most of them will have taken annual leave.
-
Really? Where did you get this info from?
The spreadsheet. There's enough people in it for it to be fairly accurate.
-
Any *predictions* guys for applications in mid-May guys? I guess they may get processed by the end of January. Hope IMMI will speed up after holiday.
May is about 80% done already. If you haven't got it yet it's coming soon!

A coworker who has a different job role to me who submitted (nom & visa) the same day as me (5 July) said she received a request to do her medical today. Can I assume that means she has been allocated a case officer? I've heard nothing as I did my medical the day we submitted.
-
is it a risky thing to do though?
I don't think anyone can give you a definite answer. My experiences have been:
Migration Agent told me she'd never heard of anyone having any problems or anyone having their PR cancelled, but that she didn't advise it. She said if there was any evidence that you lied when you applied (you intended to leave all along) they could cancel your visa.
The two friends I have known who have quit 2 weeks after getting PR have not heard from Immi again and had no issues.

Hi every how r u all? I would like to ask one question? After you got your 186 approval if you want to leave your employer. What should we do? Please anyone can give me perfect answer.
thank you
You do the same thing you'd do in any job. Hand your notice in and leave in the normal way.

My application was FINALLY lodged today. 6-9 months to go!

Hi guys,
I'm hoping someone can help me here. I'm utterly confused and can't seem to find the info anywhere.
So I'm 1 year 8 months into being sponsored on a 457 visa. I went yesterday to see HR to see about getting the ball rolling for PR after 2 years. She recommended that I do the visa myself as it'd be quicker. However my job (ICT Tech) is on the CSOL not the SOL, and I can't see any way of doing it myself. After doing some research I came across the Direct Entry Stream. However now I'm even more confused. What's the difference between DES and transition except for being able to do DES before 2 years?
I'd like to do the DES as I'd prefer to get PR sooner, but I have a co-worker who is going through transition at the moment and the employer has spent 4 months compiling the work for her nomination. Am I to expect the exact same thing with DES? Am I completely missing a way to do it myself?
Thanks
