  1. :arghh: I would be interested to hear from anyone who is a nurse and isn't using an agent. I'm a nurse from UK 9 yrs Experience in ED , done ielts awaiting score, don't know what to do in the first instance?
  2. We don't wanna use an agent coz they will take a huge chunk of our savings. Wanted to attempt it ourselves. Ive started reading today but wen I think I'm understanding I get confused again. At what point did u do ur ielts. Thanks for answering my questions lol
  3. can i ask are u using an agent? i dont know were to start? been looking on nmba site and anmac site , need to apply to both- i get that bit looking at the application forms i want to just scream !
  4. Not sure what modified assessment is. I'm just starting process and not even sure if we are gonna use an agent? They are charging 3 grand! That's just their cut? Still getting more quotes but I assume they will all roughly be the same. ??
  5. I understand what you are saying starlight, maybe the ppl u encountered did not use English as their first language, however I'm Scottish born here and completed all my education in English, I do not speak any other language. I feel a tat annoyed. I actually sat the ielts a couple years ago and did not score high enough! Maybe due to the fact I was 9 months pregnant and was stressing myself? I thought I read somewhere tht other skills did not need to do ielts anymore, was hoping this was the same for nurses? But it's not oh well need to get my technique sorted!
  6. In a UK born English speaking degree nurse, going for permanent residency visa. Do I need to complete ielts with the score of 7? :arghh:
  7. I'm a diploma nurse with mentorship module working towards degree, I'm new to this forum and devastated at the threads about diploma nurses being refused registration by ahpra, I've been thinking about migration for a long time but just made my mind up recently and now the wind is out my sails,!
