  1. He is also over 30, so that limits us even more by the sounds of it!
  2. 62,000 in savings that so much, we have savings buts not that much, and I don't have a job in the UK yet. Wow I had no idea it was this tough to get home!!! He does have a grandad that was born in the UK (but he used the ancestory visa already about 10 years ago - does anyone know if you can use this multiple times??) Also what if your married, does all of the above still apply?
  3. Hi I am trying to work out the best approach to applying for a visa for my partner (fiance - been together 7 years - I was born in the UK), so we can move back to the UK next year. It just seems very overwhelming as a process - there seems to be a lot of 'visa sites' and no real helplines' real people in Melbourne to help us out. Its difficult to know if they are all legitimate / which is the most helpful / best starting point when applying for a partner visa. Any help would be great! Regards, Claire
  4. Hi guys, I have been living in Australia for six years now (my partner is Australian) and I am English. We are moving back to the UK soon. However we do not have a joint bank account in the UK, and both of our individual uk accounts are old accounts need re-activating etc. Ideally we would like to have a joint account as we will be transferring joint mortgage savings across - Does anybody have any solutions for this? I have rang HSBC bank, but they seem to have a few limitations around the fact you cannot access a bank card/ minumun deposit etc. Any help would be really appreciated! Cheers,
