I have just called the DIAC helpline, waited nearly 50 mins to get through! Even though I lodged visa 15 th July it was only allocated to Adelaide team 23 in mid September. The lady on the other end of the phone said it could take a further 3 months from then (and not date it was lodged) to be processed. I also asked her about form 80 and she recommended front loading it to save time. Going back to bed...:wacko: Not a happy bunny. Wanted to be in Oz for Christmas!!!

Hi there new to the forum. Finding it very useful...thanks! We lodged our 189 Visa 15/07/14 and still haven't heard anything yet. We haven't done form 80 (why do some have to do it and others not??)...waiting to see if that is required but I think everything else is sorted. I'm a secondary school teacher-want to take family to Sydney. Like many others I am really frustrated when others are getting their 189 visas processed even though they were lodged later. Well done to them:yes: but makes me wonder if mine has slipped through the net:confused:!!
