Hello All, I am hoping to get some advice and opinion on the character requirement for the 457 visa. I have just been offered the job of my life with a fortune 50 company in Australia. That company has enlisted the services of a firm to process my visa and one of the questions they ask on the form is, have I been convicted of a crime or offence in acountry (including those now removed from official records). I have a couple of drinking and driving arrests from over 7 years ago that I am not even sure appear in my record anymore. The last one, I had to spend a couple of weeks in Jail. Should I be concerned that this would be cause for visa issues or application rejection? Any information related to this would be greatly appreciated as I am starting to get nervous. Thanks.
