Thank Mcadam! Did you ask for a detailed response from NT to why they rejected your application? One more thing, do I have to get my bank certificates notarized? On their website, they have asked for 'certified copies' so I am assuming this is bank's certification and not notarization. Please correct me if my understanding is wrong. Thanks, Sana

Hi Guys, I was just filling NT form and got stuck on a few points, anyone who can help me out please! Section 4.1 - Nominate an area or town to live in NT. Can I mark more than one town in this section or it has to be only one? Other community area: What can possibly go here? Other regional center? : What can possibly go here? 4.3 Contacts - Even though I tried for many days but unfortunately I couldnt make any contacts in NT! I know this is going to have a negative impact on my application! Any tips you guys have of how to contact people and get responses? I have tried facebook so far. 4.5 Friends/relatives in Australia - I am leaving this blank intentionally, i hope this is not going to be a problem? Furthermore, as employment evidence I have about 8-10 job positions in different places in NT. Is that enough or I should look for more? I need to finish and lodge my application next week! So any replies/suggestions will be highly appreciated! Thanks, Sana

Hi Mcadam, Sorry to hear this. I know a fellow epxat from another forum who got the exact response from NT. This is really demotivating for people like me who are still preparing the application . On a positive note, NT may not really be the place for you and there might be some other states opening your occupation soon

Thanks a lot mcadam, My last post got lost so I am writing again. Thanks for your response! And yes this is what I also concluded from my research that NT wants genuine commitment to the state. Could you tell me the occupation you belong to? Also whats the status of your application? How long it has been. I sent an email to migration@nt.gov.au ​but it bounced back. Can you also confirm the email where you contacted the department with your query. Thanks, Sana

Hi Everyone! I am new to this forum and also new to the topic of NT SS. Since all other states have closed down the occupation I fall into i.e. HR Adviser, NT is my only option. I am planning on to pursue it, but I have a few questions before I start. If anyone of you, who had been successful and could share some tips will be really appreciated. 1) I see a lot of rejections by NT, is there a specific reason for it? I assume NT is not a priority for most of the people, and thought NT will be easier in giving out SS. So whats the catch? 2) The proof of funds of AUD50,000 - could this be a bank certificate at a given time stating the amount of money or do we have to maintain the amount for a certain time period in the account? If yes, then whats the time line for it? 3) Could my brother/father write a sponsorship letter stating they will be financially supporting me after the move? 4) I saw in the NT form, they ask about any contacts made. Is there a way I could make contacts in Darwin? Any social network site dedicated for it? Please do share any other tips anyone could to get a successful nomination! I have positive assessment+ at least 7 in each band of IELTS Thanks, Sana
