Going back to the uk soon and have now handed in my notice at work. 1. Is it the sole responsibility of the employer to cancel the 457 . 2. Has anyone ever got their employer to pay towards the moving costs etc even thou it's my choice to leave I am leaving due to the job not being as advertised. any help appreciated many thanks

Not sure on the tax but would think this applies to goods brought in Oz, you have already paid tax in the uk. on another note we went with pickfords removals in the end as its pickfords door to door , no 3rd party issues. thanks

Also just having a think, you can claim tax back on any purchases over $300 when here on holiday. Does this apply for any items that I have purchased whilst here? I have purchased some Large items which I will be shipping back to the uk. Many Thanks

I moved to Perth only months ago but things aren't working out as I would have hoped and I have now decided to return back to the UK. Couple of things I could do with help on. 1. I have worked not stop for the last 6 months and have been paying tax is this something I can claim back? 2. Can I get any of my Super which my company has been paying? I have been on a sponsored 457 if that helps. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for getting bacck to me but i cant seem to follow the time frames. I have been sponsered by a company that are registered to sponser already, my application was logged some weeks ago now. Not really been able to get any time frames from the agent and the company are just keen to get me over. I do have a case Officer though i take it that is a good sign? Can i apply for a play / work visa in the mean time? (Will open another thread to discuss this i think) Many Thanks

Thanks for that i was looking to become a employee as i fear that if i move to Oz and start a business then the Lifestyle aspect of the reason for moving would go out the window. One of the only reasons my wife will move if its means spending more time together.

Hi all, I have been trying to find a way to move to Perth for the last 15 months now but have not yet found a successful route. Is their a website that advertises jobs for people looking to move to OZ that are willing to offer Visas after a certain time frame? Sorry its a bit vague but not sure what extra info maybe need. I currently have an IT business in the UK but have only been doing it for 7 years, i have been told that i would need $800'000 to start a new business in OZ and my company just hasn't got that sort of capital, or am i barking up the wrong tree?
