Quick question, can you apply for Jobs first, or do you have to get your visa first? Anyone got a job, then a visa? Trying to avoid chicken/egg senario?

Looking to move to Melbourne with Primary School kids Just some simple off the cuff questions: 1. Best time to move? I'm estimating between Oct-Dec, as the school year starts in Jan in Victoria. 2. Getting a school place - can you apply for a school place before you get there. Main concern is if I wait until I get there, it will be too late to start at the beginning of the term. When do the schools break up/admission offices close? Any advice would be great. Thanks

For Skilled Migration, it says you don't need to do IETL test, that you get points coming from the UK But do you get 10 points for Proficient English, or 20 points for Superior English (http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/1119.pdf) It would be great to get the full 20 points, but do I need to do a test if I'm a UK passport holder Thanks
