  1. Hi! Is anyone free next Thursday morning (16th July) to meet up? Thinking of a play centre so the kids are safe and occupied and we can grab a coffee and get to know each other!
  2. Hi, I have a 6, 5 and 2 year old and live near Varsity. Would be interested in meeting up too. ?
  3. No not working yet. Meeting up would be good, I'll pm you if I can work out how to do it!
  4. Hiya! We are in Varsity. Are you home with your 2 year old through the week? Have you met many people?
  5. Hi, Not been on here for such a long time but feeling the need to make new pommy friends! We have lived on the Gold Coast for 7 years and have 3 kids (6, 5 & 2). We have lots of Aussie friends but our Uk friends don't seem to stay on the Gold Coast long term, one by one they move to other parts of Australia or back to the Uk which has been really unsettling for us. Anyone else found this? Love our Aussie mates but you gotta have some people from home around you too.....they just 'get' you more and there's a lot less need to explain what you mean! Anyone one with kids of similar ages wanting to get together.........
  6. Hi, Just come across your post and was wondering if you had heard anything about your citizenship ceremony yet? We passed our tests in May and still haven't heard anything (we are Gold Coast too)......wondering if we have been forgotten!!
  7. Hi Thinking of moving to NSW from Queensland. I've always really like the idea of Newcastle and the surrounding areas but what is it really like to live there? We have young kids, 1 in prep, 1 about to start prep and a 1 year old so we really want an area where there are good schools and and lots to keep the kids entertained. How is work around the area for tradies? Are there any areas to particularly avoid in terms of safety/crime? TIA
  8. Hi everyone, We have live on the coast for 6 years and absolutely love it! I've recently started to hear more and more about crime on the coast and heard the coast referred to as the crime capital of Australia a few times and it's starting to make me feel uneasy! I know crime happens everywhere but we moved from the UK to give our kids a safer life and in not sure that the Gold Coast is that safer place anymore. I'm seriously thinking about moving away. We love the coast, beaches, great weather, theme parks etc, where in Australia can we live and be close to all the things we love but be safe and happy?? In your opinion does such an amazing place existing....and where is it!? x
