I havn't applied yet no. I'm just about to send off for my skills assessment. that, i'm told, will take the bones of 9 weeks. can you cite this from somewhere? I'd like to be 100% certain before i make any decisions. thanks!

First post I currently live and work in the UK (Northern Ireland) I am currently beginning the process of applying for a Self Sponsored 189 visa from here in the UK. I intend on leaving the UK at the end of September to go to New Zealand for a month before I enter Australia at the end of October. I don't think my 189 visa will be approved by the end of October, so my question is if I can apply for a 417 Work Holiday Visa before entering Australia while I await my 189 visa? Should I apply for the 417 from the UK, or can I wait and apply from New Zealand? (maybe my 189 will be approved while in NZ). How long does the 417 visa take to approve? thanks all
