  1. cheers mate. I know they sell Thule bike racks in the UK so I'll have to find out what the difference is in how they attach there to here. (otherwise it's selling my bike rack here...)
  2. Looking into shipping options- but what do you do if you don't know where you will end up? I have a rough idea we will end up in the south or south west like Bristol/Exeter/ Bournemouth way, but not sure exactly. Can you get the shipping company to hold/store the items in the UK until you can give them the destination, or can you sort out your own storage option for them to deliver to? if so, any tips on some self store places (out of London I assume will fe much cheaper) also is it better to ship early here in Aus and do without your items for a couple of months(doing holiday rentals or actual holidays!) then go , or do it the other way-keep your items in Aus for as long as possible and ship when you move to England and live in England without the items for a few months?
  3. Similar type question- mine fits on a tow ball, but it looks like a UK tow ball is different to an Australian one- anyone know if a Thule fits Aussie and UK tow balls?
  4. I have a 4 bed house full of stuff - washing machine, dryer, tvs, lounges, beds (I'm not sure if I can give up my king size bed), kitchen stuff, kids toys, bikes. Pretty much chock full of everything. How the heck do you decide what to ship and what to sell (assuming at a big loss) and buy again in the uk? I have no idea what fits in a 20ft container or a 40ft container, and nor do I know if I want it when I am forced to "downsize" into a terrace house in the uk (especially lounges, pretty sure they aren't going to fit in a terraced house loungeroom!) I am guessing fridges don't ship. Tv's might not make the journey. I would like to keep the washing machine and dryer as I spent a bit on them, but I know the combo washing machine / dryer in the kitchen is usual. And when you get it all to the uk, where do you store it? Is a self storage option whilst you get sorted (and decide on where to live permanetly) realistic? (and not too expensice) - if we end up in London, I am thinking of a self store away from london will be cheaper. Any feedback on costs and what made the cut and what got sold would be appreciated. ahh the joys of having an english wife who now wants to go back...
