  1. I just had mine tested last week and report now says my viral level is less than 500IU/ml. Doctor told me the system at the hospital cannot detect exact level if it is less than 500. Though my ALT level is little higher than the range and my doctor says it might be because of fatty liver, however liver biopsy result shows there is no abnormal condition. I am on diet these days and running everyday, and will get it tested again in a month. Will do whatever I have to do as long as I can get through all this immigration stuff. Of course, health is much more important than immigration. :-) What was your viral level then when they assessed your medical as not up to a par with the standard? Thanks for sharing your experience.
  2. Guys, Though I am with 60 points only in 261313 which is very close to the ceiling so, not much hope to be invited this month, I am still anxiously waiting for the result of today's skillselect round. What time exactly the skillselect is done? or already done or it is mid-night today? :-) Just logged in for my EOI status, and it says not invited yet :-(
  3. Thanks CollegeGirl and Sira. I will share my experience here as I move forward. I believe it would be helpful to others who are in similar a situation. Fingers crossed!
  4. Can anyone applied offshore share the experience please? :-)
  5. Thanks Sira. I am leaning more towards not using the agents because it seems to me that immigration office would require same tests and reports which should be doable on my own. This decision is being driven by my budget. If I had enough money I surely would go gor agent. Let's how it goes. I think not many applicant with medical conditions. Unlucky me. :-(
  6. Thanks vickywan. So sorry to hear such a bad experience you been through. I fully understand your feeling, yes, it is very frustrating. Hope we all will make it through. I will contact George soon. Will keep you posted as things progress.
  7. Hi vickywan, I too have similar medical condition. I am worried like hell now. How many times did they refer your medical and what kind of further tests did they require you to do e.g., HBVDNA and liver function? They made you wait for very long, how long was that? Sorry for so many questions but I believe you fully understand my feeling and situation. Many thanks for your info!
  8. Thanks CollegeGirl. How could I contact him then? What was the total cost for your case? I am bit tight in budget so... From your signature, it looks that it took 3 months to clear the medical. How many times did they refer your medical test?
  9. I am based in Shanghai, China and not a Chinese national. Still waiting for ITA. I wonder where my visa application will be processed. I am guessing it should be done by Australian embassy in Beijing or Consulate in Shanghai. Or is there any option that you will have during the lodgement? Please share your experience.
  10. Submitted my EOI with 60 and mine is 261313, the hottest category. :-( How long did it take you to get an ITA with 60 points? I understand there are many factors that impact it but sharing your own timeline would be helpful. Many things are on hold due to my immigration plan to OZ but time uncertainty and even the result uncertainty seem to put pressure on me. I am in fix !!!
  11. A question again on 189. When 189 is granted, is it a PR or some sort visa with conditions applied for PR? Maybe I am looking at OZ 189 program from NZ skilled program perspective. I have been through it that is why. As for NZ, when you apply for skilled visa, you may be granted either PR or a Work Visa with conditions attached. Work Visa is a visa valid for 9 months only. And the condition is that you must be able to land a job in NZ in skilled occupation within 9 months, you will then be entitled to PR otherwise you have to leave the country. That is why, I wonder if there is any similar thing as for OZ as well.
  12. I am offshore, can I still use the agent?
  13. While waiting for EOI selection and ITA, I have started getting worried about medical. I am Hep B positive but liver function is all normal and taking no medication at all. Couple years back I applied for NZ pR and it took me quite some time to go through the medical after 3 times of refer. For some reason, I gave up the idea of going to NZ. I am now trying for OZ and my health condition is worrying me like hell. Please share if you have any experience in this regard.
  14. Is it necessary to mention the hours per week info in the working experience letter? Isn't saying "full-time" not enoigh?
  15. Congrats. That is i would say an important step forward to PR. I too was too frustrated with writing. I took IELTS twice three years ago and writing was 5.5 only. I again tried the test and hit 6 for writing but still not up to the line. Quite frustrating situation though...I was not able to concentrate on my work and could not sleep well either but in my second attempt this time in May was it. I hit 7.5 overall with 7 in writing. I also did booking for online correction services, it was very helpful. Also, I was lucky in the sense that the task 2 topic was similar to what I practiced. Done! Cannot believe I did it but whatever I feel so relieved these days i mean good sleep...nice mood..increased productivity. :-)
  16. thanks Ozmaniac. That makes sense and online submission helps expedite the process. That must be the reason I see folks are getting a visa for 189 in 3,4 months period. Am still waiting for ITA.
  17. Folks, a newbie here. For the visa application lodgement, the application is electronic or paper based? I mean all the documents are needed to upload to DIBP website and no need to to send the copies to them by post? I understand the medical report is done that way but not sure about other papers. If need to upload those documents, do I need them all certified copies? Please enlighten me on this.
