I am coming on a distinguished talent visa which has granted me and my family PR status.

I am just one month out from emigrating to Australia, I'm in a bit of a dilemma about how to go about health Insurance for me, my partner and two children. Could anyone help out, am I to get insurance before leaving UK, or would it be best to wait until we move to Australia first? I understand they have a Medicare system like our NHS. Any help or pointers on the setup and costs for this would be appreciated. Thanks

We have recently decided to relocate to either Mount Gravatt East or Holland Park West. We have two children 2 & 8. We are going to make our final decision based on a school for my 8 year old boy. Can anyone recommend a primary school in either of these areas with good reviews? He enjoys playing rugby as part of an after schools activity also if anybody knows where he can join a local team.

Thanks guys, at present I have not got a secured job. I am a boxer and will be using a gym in Nathan to train from. As part of my training I will have a job that fits around my schedule around the same area. Travelling to the CBD or Gold/Sunshine coast, wouldn't be a problem however not to far as both myself and my partner both drive. I'm just looking for an easy going friendly area that's good to raise my children and meet new friends. I'm sure having never been to Australia before, with all the research we have done it has more to offer in terms of quality of life than the other major cities?

I have just received my visa to move to Australia with my partner and two children 8 and 2. We have decided to re-locate to Brisbane. Is there anyone who could recommend areas of Brisbane? We are looking for an area with decent priced housing around $350-$450 budget, and also somewhere with a school. Thank you
