Okay look forward to getting in touch with you when you get here in August. We just have our 15 year old daughter with us. Contact us again nearer the time if you like to meet up.

We have been living(renting) in Narangba for the past 4 months as I have a job over here now and finding it very difficult to meet people socially outside of work colleagues that I know. I appreciate it is early days for us living out here but it would be good to make some friends early if possible? We have a teenage daughter who is starting to settle into school life now and also making some friends. Are there any other fellow poms that would like to meet up for a chat or in a similar situation to us?

:biggrin:We have just arrived as a family on Monday this week (07/04) to look into the possibility of relocating here in Brisbane. I have been offered a position to work, however, my wife, daughter and I had never considered Australia before. We are here for only a short period and were looking to meet and discuss with some expats already over here to find out as much information as possible particularly as our daughter is 14 and how her education can be continued over here and what school to look at. i have just been told about this website and wished I knew about it before coming over here as lots of questions have been answered already. if anyone has time to meet up with us during our short stay we would welcome the opportunity to meet. We are staying in the Redcliffe area of Brisbane at present and will be leaving here next Thursday 17/04. thanks
