I don't think there is any pattern in when the grants are given out. Every case Is different. In my own experience, I think it was about 5-6 weeks after they requested documents to visa grant. That was over the Christmas and new year period as well.

My own advise to you would be to try and forget about it for a few days at a time. Or just check your emails in the morning when you wake up. Chances are if you haven't had an email by then you won't get one till at least the next day.

Look down on the link and open the fact sheet PDF, they just go through each one of those sections on a slide show.

Not unless you want to work on a cattle ranch or something.. It was along time ago from my experience but you will find farm work easily when you are out there. Some farms can be a right nightmare as well, so I'd just go and check it out as you go along.

7-10 days I think it was.. You don't need to inform them, your case officer will check when there ready!

Just declare it mate! It's not violent or drug related so as long as you are honest.. You should be fine.

You will meet people with in 1 hour of landing doing exactly the same as you, so no need to worry!

I used an agent and don't regret it at all. I sometimes think I probably could have done it my self, but it's easy to say that afterwards when you know what to do.

I used migrate me and they were A* and cheaper than most!

I had to supply vetassess with.. 5 years worth of pay slips, reference letters from every job in the last 5 years. All my certificates (Nvq 2 and 3) full first aid in the workplace certificate, Birth certificate, copy of passport, passport photos. And maybe a p60?? I think that was about it.

There is a a large thread on here somewhere about hairdressing and the vetassess Side of things. I would link it in but I can't figure out how to do it on this stupid tappa talk app. But if you do I quick search.....

with an agent fee, skills assessment, English tests(I failed twice) and visa costs, I would say it's cost me about 5k

They were good for me, always responded promptly and put up with stupid questions.

I'm heading over on a 189 skilled independent visa, it's been long slog but finally managed to get the grant [emoji1].

you only need to take it if you need the extra points, im a plumber and took Ielts but only because i didnt have enough points with quals etc.

Well, you don't need to do it, but it's points for nothing.

I might be wrong but I think if your applying through a trade you need to take the ielts or equivalent.

being in australia kinda softens the blow ay!!! the good thing about fox sports is that they show all 3pm kick offs which is great, altho timings are obviously an issue!! good luck with the move!!

Thanks man!! Exciting times for me and my club. Yeah the timings are going to be a nightmare.. Plus, finding a place open to show the matches on the Sunshine Coast is going to be almost impossible at a guess.

It's a mad mad season. If we beat Arsenal next week i will REALLY start to believe we can do it.

If you have a quick search, there is plenty of threads about the ielts exams. My main advise would be to understand exactly what they want from you.
