  1. I felt a bit relieved reading this thread thus prompted me to sign up  i have lodged my visa on 09 september, got a CO on 21st November, additional docs submitted on 25th nov including PCC and form 80. health finalised on 28th nov. additional docs resubmitted just this afternoon by email since I didn't put my details (like name, file number, birthdate, etc) on the heading of the first email...I don't know if this really matters though but I'm still waiting until now. #the agony of waiting

Hi there, Im under Addelaide 23 also - they asked for more docs which I uploaded onto immiaccount rather than emailed. I have emailed them though letting them know Ive done that so I hope its right. If your time line is anything to go by I may have another few weeks to wait yet.

Im getting impatient because Ive seen flights I reallllllyyyyyy am tempted to book mid Jan but NO I must be sensible and wait :(

  2. Ok so WE GOT OUR GRANT !!! Yeah baby!!!! Can I please say to everyone who is still waiting from the early sept lodgers, please re send info that you sent because a lot of things got lost during system maintenance. Our email never got to our CO hence the weeks and weeks we waited. Thanks to a very lovely private message with great info we are now sorted! I guess we have to start a new thread -- MAKING THE MOVE, WHERE TO START!

    Wow congratulations - how exciting!!!

  3. Hi Becky

    Congratulations on CO

I had to get some more as our house was broken into and they took the safe. So I googled copy's of birth certificate and went into the gov.co.uk website. You can order as many as you need, think they were around £9 each. Plus they are full certificates with parent names etc.... A very straight forward process and think you can opt to get them on next day delivery.

    Hope this helps :))

Thanks very much, we are very excited, although slightly gutted I hadn't realised they needed the full ones as maybe got direct grant if I'd have done it properly - never mind at least it's in process! I did it online for my sons and it said priority so ordered that, husband rang his local registry and they sent it out today for £8 less!!

Anyone know their case office/r - we are Adelaide 23, looks like a slower team according to the tracker (if it's to be believed), I'm wondering after uploading the remaining docs what the wait is likely to be?

  4. Well we have case officer. They have requested full birth certificates of my husband and kids. The ones I uploaded do not show parents names. Does anyone know how I get these relatively quickly or what I should do? I have full certs for 2 of my kids, but one of them and my husband we only have the normal ones :/

  5. You could not have timed that post better as I wanted to ask about a shipping. I'm already In oz. Can In arrange my stuff to be sent from home? What company did you use and was/is it expensive ?

    ?

    Cheers

Ours is in storage with Fox Removals and we completed all the paperwork there for it to be sent but unsure if they can collect from home? Is it all boxed up or is it specific items. There must be a way of doing it. It is part of a container, 7m3 for around £1100 including insurance.

  6. I am also on tender hooks waiting! Could be any day, could be weeks!!

We already sold out house and are waiting in a holiday let but have still accumulated a whole load more rubbish to either ditch, ship or charity. My husband has to clean his tools ready to ship, the main container is ready to go though. So basically need to book flights, book holiday let, pack gets and get outta here

  7. perth is the place to be guys, we are here and have been for a while, we had a Working Holiday Visa, went home, had a second year and as soon as we where here applied for PR. Perth is Beautiful you will love it have you been before?

we fell in love with the place as soon as we got here.

Congrats to all and hold on folks, you will be accepted soon, just hang on in there, we were sure it would never end but it did and we have the visa, not sure what to do now as have focused on this visa for so long feel a bit lost,

but my input to you all, don't overlook Perth and shoot to the east coast, Perth is really a lovely city and WA will blow your mind, i have a pool, and i am an average joe and i can afford a house with a pool.... crazy or what

Hi there, we are coming to Perth. Where about in Perth are you and what jobs do you do? We heard there's a massive downturn in mining/FIFO there and my electrical/mechanical engineer husband could struggle to find work... We are still dreaming of that pool but worry it'll be out of reach.

  8. I hope it's normal because we are definitely feeling it too! The excitement has waned somewhat and I'm entering a major period of panic. There's just so much to do and to think about, I guess I naively thought that would add to the excitement when the reality is that with 3 kids and no job, it's just super stressful and yes doubts start to creep in here and there.

  9. What do you mean by fund?? I was under the impression hospitals will employ midwives in the knowledge they need supervision? Surely it doesn't mean working for free?? If you aren't employed you wouldn't be covered by insurance which would invalidate ahpra anyway or am I misunderstanding you? Thanks

  10. Thing is... They aren't in the EU so they don't care about that. They can have their own rules and of course we want to move there and should respect that... HOWEVER.... I think once they realise they can't employ from overseas any more they will soon change it. The hospitals won't be able to support that many needing supervision and the bank numbers will rapidly reduce as no one will be able to go as working holiday or anything as it's not conducive to completing their requirements. It's very sad that ANMAC and AHPRA are singing from different sheets. I have applied for my PR visa (and paid for it) so effectively I can come over and live off benefits there (if I so wished - not my idea of emigration fun though!) more likely they will let me in as a midwife but will be miserable working full time or I just wasted over 5k putting in my application!?
