Hi fifi69 and Rupert Thanks for the replies I never really thought about different places in Oz being different temperatures throughout the year from each other - silly me! haha. Thanks for all the info. I think to move around Oz with the weather would be the best option for me, it is a long holiday for me - well sort of haha. I'll just need to try and plan that in as best I can but I'd just be happy to go! "ps congrats for doing this...what an ace idea" - thanks!

Hi, I'm planning on a 1 year WHV in 2016 and initially thought that June would be a good time to do it. I've been told this is essentially Oz's winter so might be a good time to get used to the climate. I'm definitely only going for 1 year as my work would only allow a career break for up to 12 months and I've been lucky to be successful in my career - I think I'd regret missing this opportunity so this is the best way for me to do it. I'll be doing casual work as I won't be in Oz for the second year so I won't be doing the regional work, if that's what it's called. When did you go and when would you recommend going? Thanks
